Custom order listings

Hello all,

I may be being very dense here but am not sure what to do.
I sell custom pet portraits, for which I made a listing, I put 1 as available, a customer has just purchased a custom portrait which now leaves me with nothing showing in my shop, I’m just thinking that while it will take some time to complete the order should I do a new listing so that it shows in my shop that custom portraits are something I offer? or just wait until I’ve finished this one before I add a new listing?

Yes, I would add another now, so you can promote it.

My approach would be to state in the listing that because it takes xxx weeks to complete a portrait you run a waiting list, and that each new buyer will be added to the list. Tell them that if they message you, you will let them know how long the wait is at the moment, so they don’t have to buy and then find out you have 6 months of work on…
