That is even better as no proof what has been taken!
Morning all.
Cold this morning, okay do have the windows in the bedroom wide but a bit if a shock when dragged myself away from the cosy bed and warm duvet.
Now on a diet, fresh air if I ever get to the naughty step or maybe a grape or 2. I always start off with enthusiasm but when weigh myself on. Friday, get despondent as only lost a lb. Might turn the scales to kilos it might cheer me up more, not that I have a clue what the proper conversion is.
No proper post yesterday, just delivering and collecting parcels.
Sorry about the rent for a stall. We have a place near us at Chiddingfold called Ramster, they have a big Christmas Fair to raise money for a charity, cannot remember which one not one of the norma, ones. Anyway visited in advance about 10 years ago, al, the Merc’s, Beemers and RR etc with yummy Mummies in designer gear arrived and were purchasing. Thought fantastic I will apply for a stall £300 plus 10% donation if stall takings, walked away. £7.00 to go in. Okay the ladies were coming out laden with purchases, then going back again but such a risk and not prepared to lose the money.
Good morning everyone,
Got Berry, Jerry and Mary home yesterday, all from the cherry barb family, and all still alive in the tank Next lot will be added on Friday, and fingers crossed there will be no strange eating disorders like the ones I’ve been reading about in your posts. Which I found quite funny I have to admit
My listing for today, a birthday card with a couple of strange objects on it that the youngsters might not recognise and the “young at heart” might have missed!
Morning everyone,
We had such exciting news last night, my daughter got engaged she has a beautiful fiance and a diamond ring which is also her birthstone.
It was raining yesterday morning so I tried to do some gardening in the afternoon but the ground was far too tough going. I ended up putting my new plants in planters for them to grow until the garden is easier to use. Some look good in my blue pots and might never make it to the garden now.
I made this lidded vessel in between sorting the house out. I like to leave a bit of time to sew as sorting can get so monotonous. It my last in the series of 3 lidded vessels.
Congratulations on your daughter’s engagement Sue! Wishing them all the best!
Congratulations to your daughter Sue @SueTrevor
Thanks Mina
Thanks Caroline
Not strange at all, my Grandfather had one of those record players.
Huge thanks for including my playmat
When I show things like that to my kids and tell them what they were used for, they look at me like they cannot process the info at all!
They are 10 and cannot even imagine opening the car window with a handle instead of a button
Yes and when the handles broke with the window in a down position you had to tape some plastic in the gap, guaranteed to happen in the height of winter with snow on the ground.
congratulations to your daughter Sue @SueTrevor …start saving…lol…
and Caroline @Caroleecrafts and @theslothscavern we had to open the window to wave our hands up and down, or round and round to signal that we were slowing down or turning…( no flashing indicator lights !!)
Morning
Congratulations to your daughter Sue @SueTrevor what lovely news.
Welcome to the new arrivals Mina @theslothscavern hope they are settling in well
Looking forward to your crochet creations Brenda @teabreaks
I will continue my mission to get my sewing space set up today. Need to be back in action by the weekend as I have a couple of orders waiting.
Just a relist from me while I’m out of action
Morning all. It’s lovely and sunny in York, but super noisy. We are staying at the Bar Convent right by the city walls so lots of traffic. It’s had a makeover since we stayed here on an uni open day when Hedd was in sixth form, but it’s still an active convent with nuns in residence. They have a museum and mini tour we didn’t do last time, so that’s the plan for this morning. After breakfast of course. I’m hoping it’s as good as I remember - it was yummy.
Fingers crossed Hedd’s house purchase completion goes through smoothly today and we get the keys at a sensible time. We are just checking the house out and then heading back home by train - she doesn’t move for a couple of weeks.
Today I’m listing another of the hoop art pictures I made for the craft event in May. As it’s Eisteddfod week back home in Wales, it’s got to be a red dragon!!!
On the subject of car windows that done work with a button, I learnt to drive in a 2CV and it had windows that flapped up. The catch had gone on one of them so there was a piece of string attached which the passenger had to hold on to to keep it closed!
Congratulations for your daughter and her fiancé Sue, very exciting news.
I didn’t realise that you’re in Swansea, Brenda @teabreaks . I lived just north of Swansea for 7 years as a teenager. @PamelaJonesArtStudio the lovely pictures of Mumbles and the Gower always bring back great memories.
