Here I am back with a new listing, as promised.
Tractor T-shirt for a 2 year old
I love your piano lesson escape story Georgina @GeorginaCrawfordArt - I love how your little brain worked and you automatically assumed sniffer dogs would be on your trail!
Congratulations on your milestone xx
My first job was working in the ladywares department of BHS when I was 14. I was very innocent and when a group of men came in to buy fishnet stockings, I had to act all cool about it! I was actually dying a bit from ebarassment on the inside. It wasn’t until later that another man (who was also looking for fishnet stockings) explained that The Rocky Horror show was on at the Theatre in town and everyone dressed up for it!
What a memory! This is an awesome story. You must have been so scared as well as very determined Georgina @GeorginaCrawfordArt. My teacher was blind and sat behind me and whacked me every time I did something she didn’t like. Character building she called it….child abuse more like. When my parents finally found out I was skipping lessons, my mum whacked me too…couldn’t win
lol…all this whacking and child abuse…and Susan @SusanBettyArt how could your piano teacher see you to whack you…lol… reminds me of the blind piano tuners…they had a better ear for sound.
Sarah @dotterypottery …Rocky Horror show…and you believed them? ha ha…
another question…sorry… (added update at the bottom )
I have a lady who asked me to paint 3 cards for her which I did and put them in my shop.
Yesterday she said that she had ordered them (??..odd terminology)
I looked and had no notice of any sales. The items were still in my shop…so I found that a bit odd that she said she had ordered them?..
Then she messaged me to say that she was having a problem paying with paypal…the cards were STILL in my shop. She just contacted me and said that she is still having a problem paying with paypal…
Now am I being stupid here…( don’t answer that)
IF she had a problem paying for them, then surely they would be in her “basket” and awaiting payment…but no , they are still in my shop…
NOTE this one IS a genuine customer as she is on a group on facebook…
thoughts please?
UPDATE…apparently the problem is with HER paypal as she hasn’t used it for a while and it won’t let her log in to HER account…is there a way she can pay with a visa card, as I think I read somewhere, that this is possible?..she is trying to find a way xx
Hi everyone. What a day I’ve had not a minute to think.
So pleased for all your sales Nikki @GlintBeads and Georgina @GeorginaCrawfordArt plus an extra pat on the back for reaching that milestone Georgina WELL DONE - I’ll add them all to the tally.
by the way what an interesting and inventive way to get out of those piano lessons Georgina.
Night all and see you tomorrow for another day of creating and stories.
Brenda, I think if you go to your paypal you can send her an invoice if you have her email address. Then she can pay with any card, you have to remember to add postage to the total, and probably mark as paid manually on your dashboard.
Morning all
Have you seen the reports of a black weather warning next week into September? Apparently going to be hot again! One of our magnolia’s is confused as have some blooms and buds appearing. Then the trees are turning and dropping leaves all over the lawn.
Morning all, congratulations on your milestone Georgina @GeorginaCrawfordArt Brenda @teabreaks if you log onto your paypay it’s really easy to create and send an invoice. On your paypal dashboard, on the right hand side there should be a box ‘create an invoice’ you just add the details in there. You need to click add more details to add the postage and just send, I use it for commissions and not had any problems doing it that way.
Working this morning but the grandchildren will be here so I’m sure they will be upstairs ‘assisting’ me as well . Hope you all have a nice day xx
Morning everyone,
Congratulations on your milestone Georgina @GeorginaCrawfordArt
Well they’ve set the date I won’t go into details as the invites haven’t been sent out yet! They looked at two registry offices in real life and went for the one in Leicestershire which I’m happy about it’ll be in August next year. They’re talking about a marquee in our garden afterwards as the cost of weddings are phenomenal… so I dont think they’ve sorted the reception bit out yet, they don’t want to spend all their money on a wedding because they’re saving for a house as well.
Sue @SueTrevor …the cost of my wedding reception…£57.+19/- So approximately £58
.
Morning, the wind is whistling around here - feels very autumnal. I also noticed a magnolia flowering yesterday Caroline @Caroleecrafts - very strange.
I will get back to listing after the weekend. I have a fair with my sister tomorrow which I’ve been trying to get organised for. Just checked the forecast and it’s showing heavy rain all day - it does seem to be a fair where people come whatever the weather so hopefully it won’t be a total washout. It’s just harder work setting up.
Wedding plans sound lovely Sue @SueTrevor I’ve been to a couple where it was a marquee in the garden and they were really relaxed and happy.
Brenda, @teabreaks I think you can add a few more naughts to that figure for a very basic wedding these days
I agree Mel @aquilacrafts thanks for your positiveness. I actually think a more informal wedding would be great. I think maybe growing lots of sunflowers might be nice too if the bloom at the right time. We’ve just had a self seeded one flower in one of my tubs.
Good luck with this weekends fair with your sister Mel
I love your invoice, Brenda @teabreaks ! Did those 75 guests manage on one bottle of orange squash? Very thrifty.
It’s blowing a gale here today. Tomorrow we’re promised heavy rain and then sun on Sunday. You couldn’t get bored with the weather!
Folksy have put a number of my snack bags in the Back to School gift guide, which is nice. Here’s one of them.
Loving the first job stories.
Good luck with the sale Mel @aquilacrafts
The wedding plans sound perfect Sue @SueTrevor . I am a bit of a wedding Grinch and never understand why so much money is spent on the big day, when it could be used fo first homes.
Congratulations to those with great sales
One of my apple trees came into bloom for a second time a few weeks ago and has now actually set fruit!
Today’slisting another horsey scented candle
@WonkyTowersCrafts …My dad provided a glass of sherry or Port for when people arrived ( he just bought the bottles and poured it out himself) then there were cups of tea or a glass of squash for those who didn’t want the alcohol…lol…
Good Morning All
I’m off food shopping this morning and Rover is visiting in the afternoon. I think he will be moving in next week
Here’s my listing for today:
Taking a weekend off, so have a great weekend all! I am off to the Big Feastival tomorrow. So excited!
