Thanks Corinna
Good morning everyone… It’s been blowing a hoolie for days here in MOK, sunny one minute stormy the next. It’s the big MOK music festival this weekend, lots of concerts and bands. There’ll be a curtain-sider at one of the distilleries, one in the square and one on the field by the harbour… That’s if they don’t blow away or elecrocute people…
I have another two sales to add to the tally plwase, Anna @Fififoxi from a lovely fellow challenger😁
Good Morning everyone
Lovely news about the Wedding - I’ve never understood all these flash Weddings either. You just end up paying through the nose for everything. A Wedding with the personal touch is always more memorable!
I’ve told my two boys, if they really want to make money, go into the wedding or funeral industry!
My listing today is:
We had a small wedding, had a choice of deposit and white goods for the maisonette or a wedding, no brainer as far as we were concerned.
As MIL had said if we got married in a Catholic Church she would not be coming! She did and we did miserable face in all the photos!
20 more sales to add to the list please Anna @Fififoxi (sorry, this is a few days worth, I haven’t been keeping the tally up!)
My mosiac sets have been really popular!
Morning All !
All caught up and favd and loved up tp here !
My first job was as a Saturday girl in the ’ Big Boots’ in the centre of Manchester - £5.25 a day. I remember having to queue up at a window to get the brown envelope with the cash in it.
Huzzah ! Georgina @GeorginaCrawfordArt on your milestone !
My listing for today …
Morning, although having been up since 5.30 this morning rescuing chairs and a few pots that had been blown across the garden by the wind I feel like it should really be mid afternoon! The weather warning wasn’t kicking in until 8am here when I checked at bedtime last night but the storm obviously moved in earlier as we were being battered when I woke up.
Anyway, nothing new to list altohugh I’ve done a Folksy Friday board.

Back later when I’ve had another pot of tea.
Louise x
Good morning everyone we have sunshine now but all that is set to change later.
Congratulations on sales, milestones and getting in to gift guides (one of my pencil pots was also listed in the back to school guide).
Sue @SueTrevor I heartily approve of thrifty wedding plans seeing house deposits getting spent on a single day makes steam come out of my ears. I am picturing the amazing Sue Trevor bunting all round the marquee as I type this!
Mel @aquilacrafts good luck with the fair and the weather. I am busy stocking up for two local Christmas Fairs it is all a bit scary.
Another sketch book from me:
Good morning all it’s been blowing a gale with lashings of rain for most of the night and has levelled off now to be a bit breezy.
My magnolia usually flowers twice a year but this year the second flowering hasn’t produced so many flowers as usual.
Today I have a Halloween themed kilt pin brooch
Morning everyone - hope no one got blown away in the storm last night.
Well done Georgina @GeorginaCrawfordArt on more sales and also Sarah @dotterypottery on your sales too - you are both doing so well this month. I’ll jig over to the tally to add them on!
A friend of ours had her wedding in a field with a marquee - guests who wanted to stay camped in the field overnight with hired mobile loos to hand. It was a lovely occasion with all the decorations handmade and the bride and groom dressed in georgous ‘second hand’ clothes from Oxfam - a lot of the catering was done by relatives so the costs were kept down but the whole event was really magical and as good as any wedding I have been too. Well worth bearing a DIY wedding in mind!
Have a great Friday everyone and see you later.
Morning Everyone, (just!)
Congratulations to @GeorginaCrawfordArt and @dotterypottery for your amazing sales.
I agree a more DIY wedding can not only be cost effective, but more memorable… I had a production line of family members making table centres on the morning of my wedding, because everyone had made or brought something and the morning of the wedding was the only time that they all got together!
My listing today is from my Redwood tree, the cones are beautiful in miniature…
7 sales for me please Anna @Fififoxi …total now 46…
THAT takes me over the next milestone to over 1800 sales …party time !!
That’s brilliant Brenda @teabreaks - sausage rolls and party rings all round!
Those little redwood cones are so cute Cara @FelstedFleece x
Congratulations on your milestone Brenda @teabreaks
4 more sales for me Anna @Fififoxi
I’m so glad you all agree with the wedding plans so far. She said right from the start she wanted supermarket flowers, I think I have enough vases! And she would let the guests take some home if they wanted.
And as for bunting, Elizabeth @PatchworkPackages I used to make miles of it, I still have plenty of fabric and found my template in the attic only a couple of days ago. I would have to ask her if it’s what she wants but I’m sure she will. I even kept my templates for the lettering, all drawn up by me being a graphic designer!
There are quite a lot of dietery requirements on my side, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, cheese allergies, no pork so that can be tailored to suit, and infact neither my partner or myself can do spicy food which can be quite limiting when we go out being vegetarian/vegan as there’s usually only one dish we can eat.
Sue @SueTrevor, our niece married a farmer’s son, and they had a marquee in a field. They were married in the local church just a few hundred yards from the field, but came and went with a pony and trap - simple, as they owned both the pony and the trap! The guests walked. It was a lovely relaxed affair.
Well done on your milestone, Brenda @teabreaks.
I have another new listing! Tractor T-shirt for a three year old
Afternoon everyone.
Congratulations on breaking 1800 sales Brenda @teabreaks - party on the naughty step!
I have another birthday card with hearts and bees and a rhino today.
Good Afternoon Lovely People,
Thank you so much for all of the lovely messages of support @PatchworkPackages @MaxPringJewellery @TheHermitsBothy @SusanBettyArt @teabreaks @dotterypottery @GeorginaCrawfordArt @quaverlyric @GlintBeads @CreationsforTinyTots I didn’t want to be a moaning minnie, but I know you all understand the frustrations. It can be exhausting trying to be upbeat when you’re not quite feeling it Thank you for being there
What a wide range of first jobs you’ve all had! Apart from the usual Saturday job in a cafe and babysitting, my first real job was as an apprentice hairdresser at £19 a week, which was all handed over to mother who gave me a whole £5 back…wow…don’t spend it all at once This was back in 1980, so £5 did go a wee bit further than today.
Speaking of hair, I’m away to do my colour with some help from Bloke who now thinks he’s Bloke Sassoon or Mr TeezyWeazy
Have a lovely day, everyone And, thank you again for being there
