Roz @OrchardFelts she is looking very smart, have a lovely trip
Sarah @dotterypottery no I dont have stables at home anymore, Quaver and Lyric are kept at a lovely location on a small country estate in the next door village, and the wildlife is amazing. Including a large badger set on the edge of their field (carefully fenced off). When the weather gets cold the badgers help themselves to any hay left out overnight and I love the thought of how cosy and warm they must be!
Hope you stay free of the cold @theslothscavern
I am enjoying reading all these “proposal” stories! Mine isn’t quite so entertaining . We had been going out for about 6 months and were just sitting chatting in the lounge at my place and he just suddenly said “Will you marry me?” .I responded with a “yes” but then thought Gosh this is a big decision, perhaps I need to actually think a bit more about it , so I added "Probably " I said I’d have a definite answer by the next time we saw each other a few days later. Of course it was a Yes Definitely, and we went together to choose a ring. He said he wasn’t worried and never had any doubts it wouldn’t be . We were married 7 months later. That was nearly 41 years ago. He still teases me about the Yes Probably .
Just an item many of you have seen and loved before for today
Good morning everyone, I’m back from a lovely long weekend camping break. We had a very relaxing time with long walks and good books. David enjoyed his birthday on Sunday and now can’t stop showing me all the things his FitBit I bought him can do .
I’ve kept up with the loving while I was away but I can’t remember all your news apart from a first sale for Emma @QuirkyOwlStudio, congratulations, and an offer on your house Mel @aquilacrafts, I hope everything goes through smoothly.
Thanks all for the good wishes for the house sale. With you lot behind us I think we’ll be ok
Just a relist from me today. We are off to a nature reserve today which we haven’t been to before. It’s a guided tour in a convoy of buggies which you drive yourself. Then popping into visit MIL in hospital.
Morning,
I doubt I’ll be able to get into a local decent fair but will do a bit of research this morning and see what I can come up with. Otherwise there will be many more hottie covers, scarves and mitts landing in Folksy. Not to mention the huge amount of hair ties and bobbles which are a big seller when I do fairs.
Onward and upward, full of positivity this morning.
A relist from me from ages ago. Modelled by my eldest daughter. Crochet Infinity Scarf Little Hearts Silver &am… - Folksy
I love ‘Yes, probably’, Liz @samazama. I don’t think I had any doubts at all, until I was walking down the aisle, when I was suddenly terrified. I’ve not had any regrets though.
Here’s another reindeer listing, this time a dribble bib
Morning all. Sunny here this morning.
Hope your house sale goes smoothly Mel @aquilacrafts.
Congratulations on your first sale Emma @QuirkyOwlStudio
Holly looks very smart Roz @OrchardFelts what a pretty girl she is.
Loving all the happy stories.
A beanie hat from me today
Liz @samazama what a lovely story. I probably should have said ‘probably’ or ‘maybe’ or even ‘no’ to my first proposal I regretted saying yes almost as soon as I did and things came to a rather messy end a few months later - but it was all for the best for both of us.
Louise @thestitchyroom loving the positivity after yesterday’s knock back.
Today I have a new handmade notebook with a hand painted motif. I have a new hole punch which has drastically cut the make time for these and is saving my hands and wrists.
Good morning everyone it’s bloomin’ cold here today.
Good luck with the sale Mel @aquilacrafts hope it all goes through smoothly
I have loved everything in your shop Liz @samazama so I pinned your cushion cover to my Fabric Work board instead
Today I have a golden honey coloured faceted bead and orange crystal necklace and earrings set
Afraid my proposal was not quite so romantic … in fact it wasn’t really a proposal! I was living with my husband to be who was in the RAF when he got a posting to NE Scotland. The only way I could go with him was for us to get married so we sort of fell into it … we survived 20 years but are no longer together but I don’t regret it - we parted on good terms, just wanted different things from life!
