December sales improvement

That’s exactly what I should have done Natalie, I will know next time, it’s a pain trying to calculate them all using Royal Mails leaflet

Oooh I have just sold another bear and to a new customer… yeah definitely put a smile on my face and if I wasn’t so tired after fighting with Christmas decorations all day I would do a happy dance,

That’s really good news  well done. I haven’t sold anything this month. I’m also offering a free upgrade to first class tracked as I do every December. I hope your sales slump is behind you :+1:

Thank you very much. I think i will do the same if anymore orders come in, if any large bears sell I will upgrade to special delivery as tracked mail only offers £75 compensation now. Fingers crossed for last minute sales for you as well.

Just had my first sale of December after commenting earlier I’d had nothing.

Yeah, congratulations Amanda, the universe must be listening

I saw that! I was smiling for you

It was one of the forum 365’ers who bought something… so I’m not sure it was the universe listening :joy:. It’s massively appreciated though. Nothing quite like a sale to give you the energy to keep going for a bit (and get a bit closer to covering the bills next month).

Good to hear!

Would it help convince you it was still the universe listening when I’d spent a few days planning to buy from you before hand :eyes::eyes:

I love your bag charms/keyrings I like to collect them ti attach to zips because my fine motor skills just aren’t the same anymore! So much easier to open zips with a keyring attached, and I’d made a pledge to myself to support more small businesses where I can! I know how much it means to get a sale so it only feels incredible to give back

Maybe so :joy:. And thank you. I really love making the bag charms and keyrings.

Totally understand on the fine motor skills as well. Some days my hands are fine, others they just do not work right. I frequently have to put off making things days because the chances of me being able to deal with things like crimp beads are zero. Today I wanted to be making bookmarks, but I think I’ll be settling for sorting buttons because I need to be able to type later.

Ah but did the universe bring them to you

Yes! I have had one order this month, which is a massive improvement from the previous month.

Oh wow. I wish. I’ve had my worst December ever. Normally, I am really busy from mid-Nov to Dec but this year has been appalling. I thought it was the same for everyone, but sounds like other shops have been successful.

So sorry to hear that. Hope 2026 is better for you.

No sales whatsoever on Folksy for December, and only 12 sales for the whole of 2025. I have been on Folksy for 10 years, and have hung on for the last couple of years, in the hope that things would improve! I love the idea of Folksy, but the time it takes to maintain another sales platform, has to be financially viable, and for me, this is no longer the case.

I wondered about your social media as despite what people try to say on here, it Does get people to your shops if you use it right.

I see you have IG but don’t use it and your FB link goes to Facebook not any page of yours.

I don’t do social media at all really, never had the need as I sell on other platforms, and they perform just fine. So my decline in sales on Folksy is purely down to the platform, as I operate it the same today, as I always have done.
