I’ve had steady sales throughout the year but December has been really quiet. I sold 129 items in Sept, 105 in Oct, 131 in Nov and just 11 in Dec. Has anyone else had a sudden drop in sales?
I’m surprised - I thought the early part of Dec would be really busy.
I would be delighted to get sales as good as yours…
I had 11 in November and nearly had a party…this month NONE…

I know and I am really grateful but I just wondered why it had suddenly gone really quiet - it seems strange that sales have suddenly stopped.

Yes, I expect people might have got their online shopping done earlier, and now the shops are open again are switching back to the high streets, especially with the worry of postal delays added in.

I had a massive surge on Saturday because of the Folksy Christmas Fair; one on the Sunday but nothing since. It must be because of the high street. Xxx

I did have a sale today, but things do seem to have quietened down now, I think it’s a combination of the shops being open, and people doing online shopping earlier to allow for postage times.
There were some posts from people saying their customers were having trouble paying by Paypal and the vast majority of my sales this month have been Stripe (normally more 50:50) - makes wonder if there have been Paypal issues slowing things down. Having said that I’ve used Paypal to shop elsewhere and had no issues so may have nothing to do with it.
Does feel like it’s been a bit topsy turvy this year so maybe more people did shop really early.

I saw that someone was having trouble with PayPal and it did make me wonder if that was the reason.
I can’t see how the shops opening can be that responsible for it - I had a mad day on Saturday with the online Folksy market, yet the following day, same market, same marketing imput from me, absolutely zilch. There was one issue with paypal but that was resolved by using SumUp, the rest before and after were OK and nobody used stripe, so I can’t comment on that.
I’ve had 1 sale in November and none this month. Slightly disappointed as I increased my price point variations to include some smaller, cheaper and more luxury products.
I think people have had a bit of cabin fever while stuck in their houses and now are enjoying the opportunity to go out and shop
That’s what I keep telling myself!!! One tiny sale on Dec 1st, nothing since. Not been too great since I started on Folksy but had hoped Christmas might see an increase in sales. But nope.

I think it’s gone quiet as people have begun to realise that parcels are taking a lot longer to be delivered. People might leave it until after Christmas now to make purchases and exchange presents after Christmas.
