That’s very helpful - thanks!

Already using the discount code to match my Etsy store

Hi Lesley, I only offer free shipping to customers who have already bought something and are basically adding to an order that has not been dispatched yet, where the extra items would not increase the shipping cost of the parcel. So it’s on a case by case basis where the customer has asked for extra items which perhaps weren’t listed originally, or they hadn’t been able to find them. I don’t generally offer discounts as such, my prices are my prices and I’m not a discount store  Hope that helps!

I totally agree Helen we are not discount stores we are small business and discounts no matter how small eat into our tiny profit margins…

If we were mass producers farming out work out to sweat shops then yes we would be able to offer discounts but we are not and I think it’s extremely bad business foresight to start devaluing our work by offering discounts…

So in order to make a living we’d have to work our fingers to the bone and drasticially rise our prices.

I think we work longer hours than the average person in the street already. Well I know I do.

The only customers who would receive any kind of reduced price would be those who pay cash, or by cheque or BAC’s as then there would be no paypal charges so I’d reduce the paypal charge from the order.

I think I have set up a discount code for 40% off under the code flashsale,- expiring 24 Jan. Should there be any indication in my shop at all that there are reductions as I can’t see anything?
