As well as a % discount, I would like to be able to create a code for a specific amount of £ss. I have a gift card listed in my shop but unable to use it as currently Folksy only has % discounts on offer.

Agree would be a good idea, for loyalty bonus as well. You can enter your suggestion on user voice, then sellers can vote for the idea.
I have also asked Folksy admin for this.
