Customer contacted me to ask if I could mend the round suncatcher she bought off me a few years ago.
Yes she bought a round Summer Solstice In 2015 so I said send it and I’ll do my best.
Arrived today. Not mine !
I’ve Google imaged it but can’t find it.
(I don’t use a single hanging point on a piece of this size and I Never use patina).
Off to see if a bit of Zebo stove polish will work to colour the copper foil I’m going to have to apply to fix it. Wish I’d sent her a picture of the one she bought when I replied to say I’d fix it.
I don’t sorry, but it does remind me of a conversation I had with a lovely lady at a craft show who enthused about my sewing kits and was back to buy some more. As she was walking away, I said "oh by the way which kit did you make last time?’ to which she replied ‘the robin’.
Of course I have never made a robin kit…

Yes I’ve had that a few times. I just smile and nod wisely …only thing to do really.
Anyway I’ve mended it. Sent a friendly message to my customer mentioning in passing that it isn’t actually one of mine and showing what they actually bought from Me + a photo of the mended suncatcher above.
Just hope that my black glass paint instead of black patina works ok but as I don’t use patina I don’t have any. Zebo didn’t work at all !
All in a days work, Now I’ll get on with something a little bit more productive,
