FAO admin gift guide promo

I can’t believe that this link is on my shop pages, like the rest of you I’m very put out, it’s hard enough getting people to my shop without having a link to take them straight back out.
Why do it without letting us know, on what is potentially the busiest selling weekend.
Surely we don’t have to have anything on our own shop pages regarding links to ‘gift guids’ etc.
I’m losing faith with Folksy.

At this stage really not happy with a blog justifying this ‘badge’.
Why were we - the sellers - not better informed of this marketing strategy before it was implemented?

And can we please have a democratic choice on whether we want it.

I think a lot of us feel that isn’t good enough. Perhaps a wiser move would be to remove the badge for the time being, consult with your shop keepers, and then decide what to do.

We are renting our shops from you, you have no right to advertise in them!

I think, if I’m not mistaken and please correct me (point me to it) that we are still waiting for the blog explaining the reasons for the boring totally Folksy curated non-signed in front page and the results of the analysis carried out since it came into force - blog was promised a couple of weeks ago.

I think also it might be a good idea if the James Q&A sessions could be reintroduced so we can ask our questions and raise our concerns directly.

A blog is not going to address concerns if it simply explains the reasoning without also addressing and fixing the cause of the objections.

Hear Hear (sorry HEAR again - not enough characters with only 2)

@Folksycontent. Out of order! What you are doing doesn’t make any sense at all! Oh, and I can never get the Folksy blog to load on my computer. Please put the site settings back to how they were before August 2014. At least my shop was being seen then! Fed up.

I would prefer it if you spend some time deleting the badge than writing the blog. The concept is wrong.

I thought I was the only one who had trouble loading the folksy blog- I gave up with it in the end.

Hi Sarah, I had thought it was my computer, but obviously not! I have never been able to read their blog posts. Liz x

I Tweeted Folksy earlier to say how disgusted I was (no reply, of course…)

I’m new over there - how would it work?

Utterly disgusted at this, i’m lost for words :frowning:

Joy that is funny Lol

Adding my voice to the ‘unhappy’ crowd…really annoyed. As another one who does not appear in the favoured few gift guide I can only lose with this…

ha ha…loe that Joy of Glass…rofl…sorted…

I am annoyed as well…I’ll just double my listings on the other side.
I love Folksy but they seem to be shooting themselves in the foot lately.
Both shops opened the same time double the sales over there (and less for listing).
Come on Folksy, you OWE it to listen to your loyal customers…
