Sara @DandelionsGallery there was a post on one of these threads earlier from Sian saying she would look into it, but at the moment I cant find it to link you to it.
Same thoughts here⦠just seen a tweet added a couple of minutes agoā¦
You only have to look at the unsigned in front page at how many are viewing folksy. For the last few days it has been a miserable 400 on average, and that includes people selling on here. Surely should be much more at this time of year.
Just thought I would keep this at the top. No-one from Folksy has bothered to keep us informed, even if itās only to let us know whatās happening and if the person responsible has been sacked yet!!!. Marg. x
I am disgusted that this has been put on all of our listings. WE PAY FOR THOSE LISTINGS - How dare you advertise other items and sellers on listings that we have paid for.
So unless you are going to make Folksy a free marketplace and refund everyones fees and commission I suggest that you review this immediately.
Sorry Folksy but I was under the impression that when I paid for my plus account that was to pay for MY listings and not advertising for everyone else!
I do happily promote other peoples shops and listings but of MY choosing and I promote where I WANT ie twitter, facebook etc.
I and many others work blooming hard at getting people in our shops. This also brings people to Folksy in general and Folksy receive this promotion for FREE and yet you are trying to entice people OUT of my shop! Perhaps I WILL entice people out of my Folksy shop and into my Etsy one!
Previously when itās been clear that a lot of sellers arenāt happy with the way the site is going, James B. has popped in to tell us everythingās fine and we should be optimistic. We donāt seem to have heard from him for a long timeā¦
I usually try to stay our of grumbly threads (that way i can pretend the world is a happy fluffy place full of sunshine and puppies!), but even I have to admit that I feel a bit disappointed in Folksy. It does seem a little disrespectful and shows a lack of understanding of what itās like to be on the other side of Folksy. I donāt want to be too parochial and Iām open to good justification if Folksy can provide an explanation on why this might be an improvement for sellers generally - but I canāt for the life of me see it at the moā.
Someone from Folksy is busy tweeting over on twitter, so I have asked them to resolve the issue, on this the busiest of weekends. Perhaps if more of us tweeted and tagged them. They canāt ignore us then. Normally, resolution on Monday would be acceptable, but this is the busiest shopping weekend of the year, and cyber Monday tooā¦?
Iāve tweeted too - hopefully lots more will as well.
The silence from Folksy hq is quite deafening isnāt it ?
Iāve just tweeted, for all the good that it will do!
Why did they choose do it at this time of year - on a Friday - before one of the busiest weekends of the year?
I want to click like to that about 70 bisquillion times
Wouldnāt it be cool if there could be a button to take someone directly to the collection page or something.
As I said in the other threadā¦there are 3 ways one can leave our listings and shop and go somewhere else: 1) categories on top - when you are in a listing, 2) categories under ādesigned byā and 3) this new photo / link. I appreciate there should be something to help buyers continue looking on Folksy if they donāt find something in our shops, but 3 ways is too much. Especially this last one. Itās too big and distracting.
Just tweeted Folksy x
This must have started on Thursday night. My banner was only half showing. I thought maybe itās my laptop. On Friday morning the same, my banner was only showing the shop name and my photos in my listings were also half showing. On Friday night I saw this in my shop. Then weekend and we are stuck with it. There was no announcement since Thursday night.
If they do it on a Friday they canāt undo it until Monday. You cynic you.
PS There is someone āinā - just check the Folksy favourites - lots added since this morning. (Not mine of course but hey, I have customers who like me, so Iām not complaining).
Hi everyone. Wow, that has caused a huge reaction. I do understand and weāre not ignoring it. James has written a blog post which Iāll publish later (when Iām back at a computer!) explaining the reasons for adding the badge to the product pages and addressing your concerns. In the meantime please know we are reading this thread and noting all your comments.
Are you saying this badge will stay and we should just wait for the reasons?
