Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well and not affected from the bad weather!
Today I have something totally different, that I have finally listed, after 3 attempts of taking photos! The idea for this item came when I made a couple of pouches to gift some handmade jewellery for Christmas. So after playing with the size, the stitch & the closure, added some beads and appliques (I didn’t quite liked having knots on the strings), I finally ended up with a product that I like and really enjoy making, as I love crocheting. More colourways to come of course!

Oh, my goodness, Hilary @kokoblue thats quite the flood! I hope it hasn’t affected you too much. We’ve lost a very wobbly fence panel which belongs to the pub and did need attention anyway, so not all bad. Took me ages to get to the common to walk the Werewolf this morning with two road closures and the binmen on their catch up rounds holding everything up. We got there in the end and only a few silver birches blown down.
On to report two sales, Mel @aquilacrafts The Highland Cow picture I listed last night was only on facebook for a few minutes when it sold. Well chuffed.
Will do a listing later as I’m off to the hairdresser soon.

Well yesterday our septic tank did a massive burp and we ended up with sewage flowing back up into the downstairs bath… marvellous… had to call out our drain man. As 2nd Jan is a public holiday in Scotland I’m braced for the bill! He couldn’t get to us until 3pm due to, well, extended Hogmanae celebrations. Spent the day unable to flysh anything or put anything down the sink!
It was a really Sh111ty day (naughty step - have showered since).

I’m pleased to say Nikki @GlintBeads that the sheep are a bit odd round here, the farmer told us they can sense when flooding is coming so they move to higher ground, I’m not sure how true that is but I’ll go with it

I’m just bobbing in rather belatedly to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I’ve found it hard to keep up with things outside Folksy and have a busy month ahead so have decided not to join in during January. I hope everyone keeps well and that sales start to pick up. I hear today that Christmas supermarket shopping the best it’s been since before the pandemic so you never know. J x

Afternoon all, just got completely soaked walking the dogs, it was blue skies when I set out. Flood waters have subsided a little here today though.

Well first day back in my workshop and I managed to set fire to my fingernail, I now have a very painful blister on my pinky finger tip, what a numpty!
