I was looking forward to lemon drizzle not baked beans though
Faved to here…
Still dry here, and rather warm. Some clouds but patches of sun shining through. Is this the calm before the storm?
Yes I think the bus into town does terminate at the station Brenda @teabreaks - but the one on the motorway continues to London so set your alarm
Ooh, my lovely little bag from @aquilacrafts arrived today. It’s gorgeous Mel. I hadn’t realised the front was bark fabric, it’s just as lovely a texture as the corduroy backing. Going to use it to hold embroidery threads when I’m on my travels.
I was going to post a video of me stroking the fabrics, but I thought that would be a tad too far
Afternoon all,
Oh dear - not sure I would want to camp in this, Susie @islamaymakes - hope your daughter enjoys the weekend despite the weather
Have a wonderful birthday Rosy @RosyMoonUK
Very happy to report a sale @SusanBettyArt, if you haven’t been arrested…Take care, we need you!
Sharon @TheOldButton …It would be the X1 as it goes from the area I live and is FREE…lol…National coaches would involve getting to town first and then also having to pre book…and PAY…xx I come from London and have no wish to go back there ha ha…
Stroking fabrics?..erm…naughty step I think.
The sun is shining at the moment…
Thank you Pam @PCCrafts
So pleased you like it Sharon. I wasn’t sure if i was correct to describe it as bark cloth so useful you’ve said that thanks, I’ll know for future description when I use that fabric. X
All loved, and quite a few comments laughed at, to here. Feeling fabrics really made me laugh. It reminded me of when our eldest son was 19 or so. (He’s in his 50s now!) He had taken me to help him buy some new underwear in M&S. ‘Mum,’ he said, ‘do you think this fabric is a bit thin?’ So I reached out and felt it. ‘Look everyone,’ my son shouted. ‘There’s a woman here feeling men’s underwear.’ Ever needed a rock to hide under? I’d prefer lemon drizzle to baked beans please Brenda @teabreaks.
And now the weather report from N. E. England - bright, sunny and warm, but blowing a gale. Ever seen a crow fly backwards?
I have a relist for you again today: Lamb T-shirt age 3-6 months
brilliant Joss
I think it’s barkcloth Mel, or rather a vintage imitation version of the true stuff that is actually beaten from bark. Very popular in the 40s (and beyond) for curtains etc - which figures as yours was from a blind.

I love it - I’ve got quite a few nursery prints including the nursery rhyme one below that I’m hoping to turn into bunting at some stage, and the Bambi remnants already listed in my shop as supplies (gutted I can’t use that one for sale items).
It’s shining here too - it’s a bit breezy but no rain.
I have ring donuts for the naughty step.
Well that was a nice surprise, I’ve just sold 39 cards on Vinted, I know that doesn’t count here but I’m still chuffed. I sell all my old stock and seconds on there and 100% of the money goes to charity so I’m very pleased and thought I’d share with you.
I’ve also popped some Belgium buns on the naughty step as the beans didn’t seem too popular
Good evening, just a late relist for me today x
Thanks for your lovely review Mel @aquilacrafts. X

Happy dancing and cocktails in celebration of your Folksy sales Georgina @GeorginaCrawfordArt and Nikki @GlintBeads ……now added to the tally Great news….I’ll have a beer to celebrate with you
Welcome to my New range From Fusion Glass & Gifts.
My work is inspired by Nature - Hope you like my “Wild Flower Meadow Collection”
I usually make 8 to 10 of everything, but none of the these items are the same. Some have Bees, Ladybirds, different flowers and colours. Enjoy.
This is what I have been busy working on, a new Nature Range.
