Folksy 365 - Daily Listing Challenge Thread - JULY 2020

Morning everyone

Gosh, Iā€™m so sorry but Iā€™ve still got some catching up to do from yesterday! Will get onto that throughout the day today (I donā€™t like to do it all at once as i want everyone to get a chance on the front page throughout the day)

3 sales to report please Max @MaxPringJewellery and thanks so much for including one of my hearts in your Minty Folksy Friday x

Looks like it will be buttons and birdhouse listings for quite a while on here as Mr DP accidentally cut through my mains electricity supply to the studio the other day (whilst putting a fence up) and although weā€™ve tried to fix the problem ourselves, looks like we may need to call an electrician! So I canā€™t fire the kiln for the timebeing!

My listing today is ANOTHER birdhouse!

@NOfkantsCurios I love that fox! I love fox things.
@erkinwald I love your crochet blanket. So colourful.
@OhhhWhatAYarn lovely romper and you do such a lovely job with your photos.

Love to everyone else. Will do loves and pins later when Iā€™m watching trash TV. Today Iā€™m thinking about driving over to Cleethorpes to the fabric shop. Could do with some more plain fabrics.

Thank you for your comments about my photos Joss @XStitcherJoss and @CoralRoseCrafts, they mean a lot to me cos I really hate and struggle with the photography part of selling lol  I only have a basic Canon Powershot camera but I did invest in an adjustable daylight lamp which I use a lot as we donā€™t get that much sun n Bradford  For my backgrounds I use wallpaper samples (free) and the one I use for the baby clothes is an oilcloth length I got for about a fiver from Ebay  I take my pics and then upload them to Lightroom which a friend of mine kindly lets me use her log in lol and I edit the light and colours etc  For the collages I use Befunky which is a free photo editing website. So to sum it up I am a cheapskate who uses anything that doesnā€™t cost me much money   xxx

welcome to the thread Jasmine! hope you enjoy our inane daily chatter
just one comment on the lovely print- you could maybe add how the print will arrive packaged (tube-rolled or flat) - is it mounted as well? I tend to get gicleeā€™s done mounted as if someone wants to put them in a cheaper frame e.g. IKEA thatā€™s fine, but the mounts provided with those tend to be non-archival quality. Look forwards to seeing more of your work x

Loved the seaside treasure troves from yesterday. It reminds me of my jumble sale / car boot escapades, with the thrill of the find. Sometimes brilliant hunting, other times slim pickings, but you just never know. It becomes quite addictive!
Have decided to make things into small collections. I always used to do this for my selling events, as they displayed better and calmed down the pattern mix of my area a bit! It was very easy for it to slip into a jumble sale look which was not what I really was aiming for. So, while they are not happening, ( tears, distraught face ) will give it try here in my Folksy shop. Here is no 2 in a series! A shoulder bag version.

Morning all hope you are all well.

Sasha @SashaGarrett the beads have arrived this morning and what a lot of them there are. Thank you so much for them I shall enjoy making lots of lovelies from them. Iā€™ll post pictures when I make them all.

Hope you get the washing machine situation sorted soon Carol @Knittingtopia itā€™s like trying to get blood out of a stone sometimes isnā€™t?

I had an email from the lady in the US to say that she wants to order some more jumpers and to take my time doing them, thereā€™s no rush. That has bucked me up a little but not a lot Iā€™m sorry to say. I will let you know if she does.

I have been feeling very tired and down for the last couple of weeks and things are taking me so long to do so I think I wonā€™t be taking part in the thread till at least the end of the month. I have been worrying for a while that I have to do everything but I just canā€™t seem to find the energy, or Iā€™m so sorry to say, the enthusiasm and therefore itā€™s taking a while. I will try to pop in but I shanā€™t promise. Maybe a complete break will be good for me. It will give a chance for the new tablets to start to work and for me to try to sleep for a while, that would be good. See you all very soon.

Thereā€™s lots of lovely items listed today well done everyon.

Iā€™ve loved etc up to here for one shop but I wont be doing the same for the other.

See you all soon
Take care and stay very safe all of you,

Good morning everyone.

Look after yourself Pauline @OswestryJewels

Just after 10am this morning I received a call from D&G complaints department saying they are writing off my machine and replacing it. I will apparently receive an email within 5 hours with their suggestions on what machine but I can go anywhere and choose a machine I want and just let them know the make and model. I wonā€™t be holding my breath for anything to actually happen as Iā€™ve had loads of empty promises from them. Watch this space

My pinterest stats are looking good - I think? Letā€™s hope it brings us some sales

All loved and pinned to here and hereā€™s todays listing

Thank you for the tips! Will have a think about this and update my shop.

I donā€™t currently mount them but definitely something to consider going forward!

Just had a browse through your shop and your work is fantastic!

Made my first sale this morning and I am hoping to get a new range added in the next week or so.
