This card is a love letter to women everywhere. I made it in response to the celebration of one hundred years since when got the vote. Celebrating the suffragettes.
It includes the suffrage colours surrounding the image, as if a polaroid was taken 100 years ago.
Send it to your friends, keep it for yourself.
The only approval we need is of ourselves, acceptance more than approval.
The invite looks wonderful Elly. Iām not out again for a couple of weeks, so Iām just beginning to feel glum, I know it can turnaround, and shouldnāt express my anxiety, but just sometimes itās get to youā¦ even though you know others are in the same boat too. I donāt sell to shops or galleries anymore, so I donāt have that income either!
Thank you Claire, I noticed youād hearted quite a few of my things and really appreciate it your work is stunning too, and different, Iām sure it will sell quickly x
Honestly, itās simultaneously encouraging & demoralising to see others selling & yet another month goes by with virtually no sales in my shop! I actually find it helpful that you express anxiety over low sales because your work is so beautiful & uniqueā¦ I shall be wearing my very-loved Scissors Holder around my neck at my next fair (& festival with my Liāl Mobile Shop)ā¦think itāll look good against a black top!
Morning everyone. Remember last year when I said we had found a half starved cat in our garden who turned out to be pregnant. Her kittens will be 1 year old this month. I had to bottle feed the one in the photo which is why I had to pull out of the listing challenge last year. We kept mum and 3 of her kittens which you can see playing with the toys.
The vet put mums age at under 1 year old so she was only a kitten herself when she had these. https://folksy.com/items/7172297-1-Kittens-and-Adult-Cats-Sunflower-Catnip-Toy
Beautiful invitations Elly @EllyRowbothamPrintmaker
Sarah @SarahDesignsUK - oh I so remember the horror of supermarket trips with the children. Not sure they are much better now the kids are older - not so many meltdowns but usually cost me a fortune!
Claire @ClaireMortArtist - just love that card, can think of a few people I would like to send it to but perhaps not wise! BTW - PO closed yesterday pm so will get your item in the post tomorrow am.
Sue @SueTrevor, it does get you down when sales seem to dry up and doesnt really help with the motivation to get on and make anything new. Online sales have been dreadful for me recently although luckily I have had a few in the last couple of weeks but my sales in the gallery seem to be improving week on week so there are obviously people out there still buying.
I know I should really make an effort to get some things photographed and listed but until my youngest daughter goes back to Uni and clears out her wardrobe I am living out of carrier bags all over the bedroom floor which is usually where I have my photography set up. I have given my bedroom to my oldest while she is living with me - she cant sleep on the mattress in the other room (hates the memory foam) and it gives her more space so she can escape into her own world if she wants. Everyone thinks Iām mad giving up my room for her but I really only use a bedroom for sleeping in so it doesnt really bother me how big it is as long as there is a bed!
Think I will spend the day preparing some poppies to put on some new scarves ready for when the silk order arrives Heres todays listing - a re list again Iām afraid.
