I’m another one who is excited by the prospect of some new projects in the New Year. So many ideas, so little time . Anyway, a oldish relist today, but one that could do with a bit more love if you’ve not seen it before.
Afternoon all.
Sitting here in the dark with the Christmas tree lights twinkling.
My husband and daughter went and got a tree yesterday and she and I dressed it. I was all for not bothering this year, if no one else was fussed, luckily they found enough Christmas spirit to get one.
Have a lovely Christmas
Have a lovely Christmas and Happy New year! Hope so see you soon here!
@petalspassions have a lovely Christmas
@LilacDaisy oh Lorraine, I am so sorry about your mum. Hope so she will better soon and she will be at home at least for Christmas
@littleredsquirrel thank you Noelle!
I know, it does feel like everything happens at once. I really pleased though that thanks to You Tube and a lot of swearing on behalf of my OH the dishwasher is working! Yippee
So sorry to hear about your mum, Lorraine @LilacDaisy - hope she makes it home for Christmas.
Happy Christmas to you and yours Marilyn @petalspassions
One sale to report please @SueTrevor
So, I am thinking of being brave and biting the bullet next year and offering some workshops. I have access to the gallery in the evenings so wouldn’t need to hire a hall. I am thinking of starting off with a complete beginners needle felting course with a maximum of 4 people. Does £40 for 2 hours per person sound reasonable? I would aim to do 2-3 small projects in that time (mini sheep keyring, bee fridge magnet and a mini penguin). Am also thinking of offering it at a bargain basement price of £10 for the first 4 takers who would (knowingly) act as my guinea pigs to see if I have pitched it right. What do people think? Might also progress to a felted picture workshop too.
What a fantastic idea, I would love to do something like that. It would be an amazing present too!
Good idea Roz @OrchardFelts to do the workshops and £40.00 for 2 hours sounds about right for taster sessions. are you factoring in materials for that price? you could point out that they go away with 3 little items that they can give as gifts so it is good value.
Sorry to hear Mum’s not well Lorraine @LilacDaisy - fingers crossed she’s back home for Christmas.
All caught up to here.
I’m sorry you’ve got covid again Alison @FluffStuffCrafts. Fingers crossed you get over it quickly.
I’m still wheezing and coughing well, but we’ve spent the day trying to prepare the house for an invasion of four adults for a night (son, daughter-in-law and their two 6’5" sons). Now I’m so shattered I’m falling asleep in my chair, so I’m afraid no listing, but I have loved you all.
Just realised a block of posts were hiding.
Great idea Roz @OrchardFelts, prices sound about right. Great you can use the gallery space.
Hope your mum responds well Lorraine @LilacDaisy and you have her home in time for Christmas.
Well I’ve put my shop on holiday mode over Christmas because I don’t want to post at the last minute - but I’ll still be dropping in to Folksy every day for chats and to love items.
I’ll take the opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Christmas now as I know some people will be off on travels etc. and I’d hate to miss them out by leaving it to the last minute. Have a nice evening everyone.
.
Brilliant news! That’s one chore less (well apart from loading and unloading it!).
Brilliant idea Roz just wish I lived a bit nearer to you.
Yes! It’s a fab idea. A lot of folks would love to learn a new skill… I think you’re on to a winner there Best of luck with it
Hope your mum’s treatment goes well and she’s out for Christmas x
Merry Christmas Marilyn @petalspassions and I hope you soon feel much better x
