October, my birthday month, here is a cheerfully little number. A rainbow coloured dragonfly purse. I don’t think we will get many rainbows today, just rain and grey skies.

I’m especially fond of the tradition in Brittany for dentelles - I had a go a few years ago, instructed by the maker (who I bought some from) in Breton, which I could understand a word of! She was so speedy at it! There’s a healthy support for artisan tradition in Brittany. I think the Bretons learned lacemaking from the Irish, a few hundred years ago, as a means to earn a living during great poverty

Good morning everyone, very happy to be part of this new thread, although I almost forgot and went to post on last months lol! I do still have loving and pinning to catch up with on there though from yesterday.
Thank you so much to Max @MaxPringJewellery for your tireless efforts in keeping last month’s thread going. It was brilliant for me to be able to join in with as a newbie and has enabled me to learn a lot in a very short time from all you extremely talented designer/makers who are very generous with your knowledge and pearls of wisdom.
Thank you also now to Natalie @NOfkantsCurios for taking on the batten this month and ensuring all the hard work put in so far continues. I hope that I can do this new thread justice again and keep up to the best of my ability. I do hope to be able to include some of my makes, as well as craft supplies, in the not too distant future. Here’s to a successful October in every way for us all!
