Hi all, although I’ve had a Folksy shop for a few years, I’ve yet been able to get involved in the daily list challenge. So I aim to do that this October! I’m going to start with this cute penguin necklace.
Happy October everyone , oh lovely , lovely month !!!
Something for those nippy mornings ! Beautifully soft Alpaca/ wool blend ear-warmers . This shade is ‘Twilight’ ( lots of other shades available !!) …
Afternoon all. Thanks for all your lovely messages - last night’s meal was lovely. Unfortunately, my first day of being solely self-employed hasn’t gone according to plan. My morning of happily cutting out fabric was rudely interrupted by the discovery that today’s relentless heavy rain had resulted in a leak through the roof into the two front bedrooms and then through the floor/ceiling into the living room below! I’ve been having to move things away from the affected areas, mop up the water and find bowls to put under the drips Consequently I’ve got very little done. I did have a new listing for today but I haven’t got time to write the blurb for it so I’m just going to have to relist today (not ideal for the first day of the month!) I’ve got everything crossed that we don’t have any more heavy rain!
Sorry to hear about you flood problem @PocketfulCreations Hope it is sorted quickly
Welcome to the newcomers.
Congratulations on your sale @TheCornishHare
New month starts with a new listing for me
Just in from work, Helen @PocketfulCreations we too have a leak in my living room at the conservatory roof, so big plastic bowl in place, I am deciding it is a water feature!!! However, other than a bit of damp carpet, not other issues, so I feel for you!
Andy @KelandyDesigns it’s easily done going from one month to the next as the days trip away so quickly.
It’s an old Edwardian house with a steep roof with two apices at right angles and a diagonal gully where they meet. It’s the gully that’s the problem - it needs repointing. Hubby has been up this afternoon and removed some moss and bits of broken tile which might help prevent water building up in the gully. He’s also put some plastic boxes in the loft to try and catch any water if we have more heavy rain. Our roofer friend has problems of his own just now, so we might have to muddle through for a few weeks until he’s able to properly repair it for us.
Evening all. Gorgeous listings today everyone & hello to all the new faces! Thanks for running the show Natalie @NOfkantsCurios
Thanks Andy @KelandyDesigns for the pendant love
Oh no Helen @PocketfulCreations what a start to your new freedom Hope the damage isn’t too bad & you can get things straight again quickly.
I have a new pendant today - a little rainbow drop…
Starting the month with a sale to report @NOfkantsCurios - hooray! I’ve been averaging a miserable two Folksy sales a month since Easter, so it must be due to pick up again.
Hope those with leaky roofs soon get them mended, nothing worse, although they do do some pretty buckets these days!! lol Think forecast is dry for tomorrow - fingers x
Many thanks, Natalie @NOfkantsCurios for looking after us this month - you are a star
