It’s an insurance thing I’ve never heard of and nothing to do with anything even vaguely related to what I do. Anybody else had this and why should it come in the list anyway?

I have had this too, it’s an insurance company that deals with market traders, craft markets etc.

Just don’t get why I would appear in anything they’ve got when I’ve never dealt with them.

I am not sure either, I haven’t had any dealings with them. The only thing I put it down too was then trawling for potential new customers.

I had it as well, so I googled CMTIA Folksy, and found this page where they suggest Folksy as a place to sell craft goods.
As I had a number of item views and 1 shop view, I’m assuming someone (a fellow crafter/buyer) found that page and followed the link to Folksy, and from there found my items/shop.

This made me question exactly what the SOURCE means in Folksy stats. I’d always assumed it was direct to my items - for example Pinterest source meant someone used a Pin that linked directly to my item. Or Instagram straight to my shop link.

But in this case, they would have gone to Folksy home page first. So why is the source not FOLKSY?

They have most probably set up a load of ‘bots’ to trawl the Internet for crafters, artists etc to collect data for marketing

I had those on my site too and I was puzzled about them

I use to have my insurance with CMTIA many years ago when I did craft fairs.

My stats look to be down this week.
