Folksy flyers and logo

Hi everyone, I’m quite new to Folksy, and would dearly like to use it more and Etsy less, however, I have a problem with the promotional flyers and the logo. Starting with the logo, it is very attractive, but for anyone who has never heard of Folksy, what does the name say? At a glance it says Folkoy! The s looks like an o. Could it be tweaked so that the s looks like an s?
Now for the flyers. I have been putting a Folksy flyer into all my parcels which go to UK buyers, in an attempt to encourage them to look at Folksy. I would really like a well designed flyer with a clearly stated Folksy web address. Even the biggest flyer has such tiny print on it that I wonder how many people actually bother to try to read it, and you have to search hard to find the web address. It would be nice to have one that could be personalised withour own shop address as well, as that would be further encouragement to customers to explore this ‘new, unheard of’ site.

Where did you find the flyers please? I’ve never seen them?? Also, I am the same as you, trying to use Folksy more and Etsy less, I’ve yet to meet anyone who has heard of either though!

 Folksy is not new… I’ve been here since 2009.
I send out a business card with every purchase containing the Folsoy (not noticed the o before ) logo and my Folksy shop URL.

We’ve never noticed the ‘s’ in the logo looks like an ‘o’ before! That’s not something we can change I’m afraid - it was designed way back in 2011. You can read the story about the logo we have now and see how it’s changed since we started here https://blog.folksy.com/2020/03/04/folksy-logo-story

Glad you’re not going to change it. It’s all over my business cards, my website and my Market banner :grin::grin:

It’s interesting that you are moving from Etsy. I love folksy and the whole ethos but although I sell lots at markets or to returning customers, I sell virtually nothing through folksy. I was thinking of changing, but I want to stay. Any advice please?

I sell really well on Etsy but at the back of my mind is that one day it will be too expensive to sell on there so I am pushing everyone to Folksy. I even forked out for a custom made stamp with my shop name and Folksy on it. I am giving it a year to see how it works out then see.

Thank you Sasha, have them now

I’ve just tried to get on to this site but it comes up IP has been changed. Where can I get the badges and printables now?

I don’t know what’s happened to the blog - perhaps @folksycontent can help out on that one? I do have one of them saved on my desktop which I could email to you if that would be useful? Its one of the square ones that I use in instagram grids.

@TotsCloset - what ever the glitch with the blog was its been fixed now and the link to the badges and banners works again.
