Yep that worked - well done!
when filling details in on Tresstle and applying for the market do you have to include images of actual items you will be selling as I don’t have many made to order items, most of them are one offs - so they could sell out by the time the market is live. I can’t remember how it all works, I did last years folksy market !
Hi! I’ve got a question
I was just wondering why, if it’s an online fair, it has opening hours? (8.00am till 10.00pm daily).
Some of the other fairs on Tresstle have them too.
There’s probably a simple answer to this but I can’t figure it out lol!
Hi,
Is there a way to apply for the Christmas market for people who aren’t already on Tresstle?
The only way I can see at the moment is to pay a fee upfront for a Tresstle account in order to apply, before knowing whether or not we’ve been selected to take part.
Thanks,
Lucy
Hi Lucy. You do need to register with Tresstle to apply - and unfortunately we can’t refund that fee if you’re not accepted. Terms and conditions are here if that helps Folksy Local Online Christmas Markets - apply for your stall! | Folksy Blog
However, once you’ve signed up to Tresstle, you’ll be able to apply for all events held on there.
There is still time to apply today as we’ve extended the deadline until midnight tonight. It was supposed to close last night but I wrote the wrong date on our Instagram post
@MuddMade We’re putting together a guide for everyone who’s taking part which explains how it works and what you need to do. Here’s the PDF guidance that will be in it, if that helps.
Thank you Camilla!
I am still so undecided…could anyone advise on the average cost of applying for other Tresstle markets please? Are they comparable with the £19.50 fee for the Folksy one?
Also, what photos do I have send with the application? As someone says above, my items are generally one offs and I haven’t listed my new Christmas stuff yet.
Thanks!
Camilla.
I thought I had missed the deadline as I thought it was Sunday. But tried today as you confirmed deadline was extended. Unfortunately when I have gone onto Tresstle, & and as far as I know I have completed my profile as required, when I go onto the market details (North England & Northern Ireland) there is no option button to apply for the market. I’m assuming perhaps Tresstle have closed the application process. I’ll put it down to experience with note to self to be more organised
Ruth @RuthSmithJewellery - I sent my application in yesterday as I thought it was the closing date, but have since updated my Profile, so am not sure if it will go through or not.
Lily @LilyLilyHandmade - I would go in for it. £19.50 is very reasonable compared to other Christmas Fairs and Markets. You don’t have to list Christmas stuff yet. They will look at your Folksy Shop first. It says up to eight photos, but they will only use the first photo anyway, so nearer the time, you can list whatever you want.
SallyAnn
Thank you.
I would be happy to pay the £19.50 but am a bit put off by the Tresstle £10 fee as it is unrefundable if I don’t get accepted for the Folksy market and I only really wanted to do the Folksy market. It looks like the decision has been made for me though if Tresstle has closed applications as Ruth mentions above
Don’t be put off.
I think i may have completed something on my profile incorrectly. Applications may still be open.
The South England / Channel Islands one is still open… I’ve just managed to put an application in.
I found it off-putting paying upfront just to apply too, although I can understand why it’s been done that way. I decided to go for it in the end.
Thanks very much Sally Ann, Ruth and Lucy. I decided to just go for it too.
@folksycontent
Camilla.
Ignore my earlier message. I revisited Tresstle & made a couple of amends to my profile & have now managed to complete application. I will get the hang of technology one day
Hurray! It’s going to be great
