I agree move to top is great but I have been using the list of my entire shop ( only place I have access to that) to find things and the full list in one is now gone and I am *********d.
I used to use date listed but that was removed so have used shopkeeping, ctrl f since.
Right… found it lurking among some pendants and angels on page 11 and looking totally lost.
So thank you Folksy for the ability to move things to the top more easily … can we now have a facility to search our entire shop and not just a few listings at a time because I seriously used that Shopkeeping CTRL F facility and will Cry every time i need to use it and find i can’t.
Eg .How do I now search my shop to find how many horseheads I have in stock.
No eye deer.
Thanks Aaron. It just got me stuck for a minute. Didn’t move the dinosaur last night when i listed it as the router had a moment (leaving my printer on a different IP address than the computer thought it was !! again ) so was beginning to feel attacked by technology …
The move to top is great… just a quick way to search all the shop replacing my ctrl would save me hours a month. xx
Just tried it and the drag and drop is much quicker as well as the move to top - thank you. I would also like to see some sort of search ability within my own listings please!
ETA a small point but it would really help if the ‘move to top’ arrows were at the LEFT, next to the thumbnail and title so I don’t have to keep reading right across my desktop screen, it’s a big gap and I find I’m clicking the wrong arrow some of the time. Which is a pain because there isn’t a ‘put it back where it was’ function! Guess I just need to remember to make the window smaller before I start rearranging…
what I would like @aaronfolksy , is a Delete button on the item page. If I want to delist an item I have to go to listings and scroll through the tiny thumbnail pics to find the one I want to delete.
On the dark side ( sorry…I am leaving there soon)…there is a delete button that only the shop owner can click on…there is already a button saying “edit this item”, so it would save a lot of time to have one next to the main item page saying “delete”…thanks x
You can always edit and set stock to zero… I do that sometimes so I can find it easily if say I want to duplicate it for same in a different colour. Then I set the qty back to 1 and it goes back into stock.
My personal workaround !!
I think Hide may be what you need, Brenda, or as Joy says seting stock to 0. It’s generally a bad idea to actually delete listings because that will break any links people have to the item. If you leave it they get directed to your shop with a nice ’ sorry this is sold out’ message.
@aaronfolksy, I have the same question as Kim @KBCreations. We used to be able to add a comment to our featured items to say why they were featured. There doesn’t appear to be a way to do that now. In itself, it wouldn’t be much of a problem, but I label my recently listed featured items as “Newly listed”. Those labels are still showing and, without the comment option, I won’t be able to remove those labels after a couple of weeks, which is what I’d normally do. It’s not going to look good if I have featured items showing as newly listed if they’ve been in my shop for months.
Helen @HelenCliffordArt , I recently wanted one of my paintings to give to a cousin as a gift…scrolling through the listings to find it and delete it took ages…it would have been so much easier to go to it in my shop ( easier to find) and delete it from there. A lot of my paintings are similar and so the small thumbnails pics often look alike…lol
@KBCreations & @PocketfulCreations thanks for this feedback, the new version currently doesn’t have this functionality but we’ll be looking into how we can re-instate it in the near future.
I’m also pleased to announce we’ve added a new page to be able to search through all your listings instantly: https://folksy.com/dashboard/all-listings (There’s also a new ‘All’ link under ‘Items’ on the seller dashboard menu)
We’ve turned this around really quickly so we’ve focused on the core mechanic of searching through your listings and will build up extra functionality over time but our hope is that it’ll be immediately useful and help provide a proper solution to the CTRL-F workaround some sellers have been using up to now.
@aaronfolksy Thank you, that would be helpful. I have a couple of items featured which have a reason added to them and there seems to be no way to get rid of it. If I ‘unfeature’ them and then try featuring them again, the note stays and can’t now be changed…which means I cannot feature them again if the reason no longer applies, such as ‘new this week’ once it’s not new…or ‘reduced item’ if I want to put it back to full price etc.
