Help needed with Shopkeeping please

I really want to be able to re-arrange the items in my shop. I’m a Plus seller, so should be able to do this via Shopkeeping, but the page just won’t load for me! If I wait for half an hour, the page might, if I’m lucky, eventually load, and I can move one newly listed item to the top. After that, the page crashes again.

I’m finding it very frustrating that I haven’t been able to rearrange my listings for such a long time now. All new items automatically go to the bottom, and when you have a few hundred listings, the new ones just don’t get seen. It’s putting me off listing new items in my shop - the shop front looks stale because it never changes!

I’ve tried on various devices, but no luck.

Does anyone else have this problem? If so, have you found any solutions?

Thank you!

Sarah I have been having trouble loading pictures in shop keeping for weeks now. I usually click the shop keeping button and go and make tea and toast !! I thought it might be because I had over 400 items. THEN when I want to move a picture to the top i can also wait ages again.
As for arranging them…that is a nightmare…You can drag them upwards, but with so many to work through I tend to move them to the top and then try to put them where I want them…not easy and I know that other shops have been having similar problems. Hope you ( we) can find a way…xx

I have not been able to rearrange mine recently either, they will move to the top, but I can’t drag them at all.

I have ptoblems on & off. Some days I can drag things to where I want them, but when I check my shop they have moved back, or moved somewhere else. Other days it’s fine…Folksy have been looking in to it for me but perhaps they need to know more people are having issues…maybe email Folksy support?..

Mine has been okay but I haven’t got that many listings. I agree though I would prefer new listings to go to the top rather than the bottom.

I don’t want to jinx it but mine has been working fine - I’m using chrome. Would the browser make any difference?

Mine is fine and I use Microsoft Edge if that helps. Don’t have too many items either, so it is manageable to move them around, but I do agree that the new items should go at the top. It’s a very important feature in my opinion as the shop front is the very 1st thing someone sees and it cannot be static.

Same browser on my Ipad and MacBook but I can’t drag on the IPad, to be fair there seems to be quite a few functions that just work better on the MacBook.
Must be horribly frustrating not to gable to move things around in shop, did you email support?

I have 1233 listings and I can’t use the shopkeeping function at all, it crashes trying to load. I noticed that this functionality deteriorated as my shop grew so it seems to be related to the number of listings and the file size of the photos.

Personally I prefer new items going to the bottom of the listings. I have my shop items in a particular order with items made of the same fabric grouped together. If new items went to the top then the rest of my items would move and I would have to move the new item anyway. The ‘move to top’ feature allows people to easily move new items to the top if they want to (when it works properly) but you have to ‘drag and drop’ to move things from the top and that is what is not working for me at the moment.

I know you said you’ve tried multiple devices but have you tried a device that is connected to your internet via a cable rather than wifi? Reading the thread the issue seems to be more prevalent for big shops where lots of data needs to be transferred for shopkeeping to work and cabled internet connections tend to be more stable and quicker than wifi connections.

I use chrome on my laptop, but no joy.

Not yet. Wanted to check if was just me having problems first.

I woulnt mind things going to the bottom, if it was then easy to move them up. I lime my shop to be neatly ordered too, and it’s driving me mad! If something sells from the middle of a row on the front page, everything is out of line and I can’ t fix it :frowning:

Not an option, unfortunately.

Hey everyone  thank you for all your feedback, it has been immensely helpful in diagnosing the underlying issue.

We’ve been working on a redesigned shopkeeping experience these past few weeks and I’m excited to say we’ve been able to launch it today for everyone to try out :tada:

This new experience should work with any number of active listings.

Please let us know how you get on with it

Thank you but have to ask, have you removed the quick ‘move to top of page’ …I use it every time i list, i.e. daily, to move latest listing to the top ?

OK sorted that one/…hit the arrow to the right

BUT

Oh dear I am 100% snookered. I have 12 pages of listings, 60 a page.

I use Ctrl F to find the listings for all sorts of things including moving them around.
It is only now working on currently displayed selection.
also use it to check if something is in my shop at all as it is the only way to search my entire shop and find where it is.

My dinosaur from last night, after i started to move it manually to the top (I have 12 pages ), is now somewhere in my shop and I haven’t a clue where
Anyone finding my Green Trex… please tell me which page it is on so I can maybe find it to move it to the top

And please can you do something so the CTRL /F works across all the listings and not just the 6 currently displayed

I just tried it and it was much quicker and much better. Up until now I have had to wait ages for all my pictures to download before I could go to the bottom and move the last one to the top.
It felt a bit strange at first, but is certainly quicker for me. I usually list quite a few at a time and then move them to the top one a day.
