Hi,
Just curious but I was wondering how people’s discount codes are performing? have you seen increased traffic (and sales) to your shop?
thanks
Sasha
I added a discount code to my shop but it hasn’t done any good at the moment, maybe because its only running until next Saturday but that’s due to me attending a craft fair on the Sunday and I will probably hidding some of my stock so I can take it with me.
I had a small sale yesterday, but the customer didn’t use the discount code that I publicised here and on Facebook.
Thanks for the feedback. I set a discount code loose on facebook this morning to see how many more people see the post and visit the shop as a result. I have a craft fair on Sunday so have the code expiring on sat so people will have to be really quick off the mark to use it but sometimes thats the incentive they need. We shall wait and see.
I added 10% off in my shop yesterday until the end of November, so far no increase in traffic or sales outside of the Forum, had one sale but it was a friend here on the forums.
I’ve got three days of craft fairs coming up, so I’ll be promoting my shiny new discount code and see what happens
@rosesworkshop will you be making the code given out at the craft fairs unique from any you advertise via other methods so that you can track where future orders picked up their code from?
My discount code has managed to get me my largest ever exposure on FB and a significant increase in the number of new users to my shop so plenty of promotion but as yet no sales (maybe they are waiting til the weekend when they will have enough time to have a proper browse through my many listings…)
I did a one day offer using the discount code and sold 4 paintings from it, so it worked for me
I’m planning a similar event in a couple of weeks as a Christmas offer, as it was a success for me.

I’m planning on making a voucher for people who £10 or over at my stall at my next fairs, they’ll get a discount code. Even if people don’t end up buying- I’m hoping it will just make more people aware of my shop.
That sounds like a good idea @SashaGarrett but I’ve only set up one at the moment.
