I’m fairly new here and have just read about Pinterest. It’s not a platform I have ever used. Is it worth setting up a Pinterest account?

It’s fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it. I think I read it’s good to have a few boards, especially ones that appeal to your target audience, you can have a board dedicated to your makes but others too with makes that you love. I have lots of boards! Find it great for inspiration boards too.

Folksy recently did a blog post about using pinterest for promotion here’s the link
putting together boards with a strong theme featuring a cross section of items relating to it (eg you make baby blankets so a board of nursery decor with your blankets, mobiles, etc etc) is a good starting point and regularly updating board is also a good idea. Every item on folksy has a ‘pin’ button that you can use to add it to pinterest.

Turns out I had an account from years ago! I have added a Folksy any my own shop board. Now to find people to follow…
