I been only been on Folksy and the other since August and my sales have about the same on both. I am rephototographing my items in the snazzy new packaging I made for a craft fair I did recently to add new listings and get a bit of action going. I t has been a slow couple of months, but I have now gots some really good stock that needs to be put out there. I feel sad that people are losing confidence here, but as I only have a very brief experience, I am still thrilled with every sale!.

Just to add, I had a sale on Thursday, so well pleased, only a little one but its still a sale. (of which I am really grateful for) and hope they return.I love the feel of Folksy too, just like others have said. The Britishness of it too! The staff are human and helpful. Just wish it was more popular, thats all, oh an more sales.
Sales are still rare but happy to say that the last 3 sales ive had have been my soldered items. Seems people have started to like them.
2015 has been a good year for me. So far Iāve made 26 sales which is the same number as the previous 4.5 years combined (so if your sales are slow - hang in there!)
Iām not sure whether having the Plus account has made a difference (it didnāt the first time I had one a couple of years ago) or if its because I am now on Pinterest or maybe its because I am making an effort to get involved in threads on the Forum. Either way I am pleased with the way things are going at the moment.
I would say my sales have been steady, on the whole, all year. However, Iāve been selling on Folksy for about four years now and in the past year or so they have gradually dropped. Iāve been averaging 10 a month. Unfortunately, Iāve also 10 this month, where Iād expect a tripling of sales due to the Christmas effect. Last November I had 30 sales by this point, and the same the year before.
I canāt really pinpoint out why the lack of Christmas rush, but am ascribing it to a number of factors: increased competition on here, a change in search this year (Iāve only updating all my tags and titles recently and am yet to see an uptick), and possibly my cancelling a Facebook ad. It was very hard to track sales generated by that, though
I havenāt renewed my Folksy Plus recently as I canāt decide if it really makes a difference to my sales.
One thing that I have found does make a huge difference is visibilty on the front page if youāre lucky enough to be featured, and to a lesser extent being featured in a gift guide.
My Folksy sales are a bit like buses - all or nothing! Looking at last years sales, December 15th seemed to be the day. Maybe people suddenly waking up to last posting day and panicking!
At the craft fairs Iāve done everyone seems to be saying the same - last year wasnāt so good and footfall this years is down even more. Does anybody have any theories of why that may be? Are there just too many craft fairs going on now? Is everyone crafting their own thanks to our friend Kirsty? or have we all been blinded by the constant battering from Amazon and co with their all week long Black Fridays and Cyber Mondays?!
I think people are being more careful with their spending. Canāt blame them! I was at a christmas fair last week, which I did extremely badly at!! and the people that were selling seemed to be the ones with Items for a pound. Handmade! Pencil cases with zips Ā£1!!!
Got one more fair this week and thatās it for me! Sticking to hereš
