I’ve just spent and hour and a half trying to find the best tariff code for my tea cosies, but to no avail. It doesn’t come under knitted garments as you don’t wear them. The closest commodity code I can find is table linen>knitted or crocheted>other
Do you think a tea cosy would come under kitchen linen/table linen?
I have a headache and I have to post a tea cosy to the USA this afternoon.
I think you’re right that table linen/kitchen linen knittted or crocheted would be correct. I’d go with that! I wonder how long it will take to have Commodity Codes as a specialised subject in Mastermind?
Oh thank you so much Judy! I use that then. What a palava this all is! Is it to early to have a gin?
I’ve now found out the commodity codes for my gloves, scarves, cowls and hats, so hopefully won’t have to go through that headache again now I know what I should use for my tea cosies.
I think by next year we will all win the Mastermind specialist subject on commodity codes
We’ve spent the whole morning on the landline phone to BT and Apple helplines trying to restart my partner’s broken mobile, so if you send over the gin bottle we’ll join you! And the phone still doesn’t work.
I’ve been using heading 6302 Textiles and textile articles / other made-up textile articles / bedlinen, table linen, toilet linen and kitchen linen / then add sub category as appropriate for knitted etc.
This has worked ok for last five years sales of tea cosies and mug cosies to USA, but this year who knows!
