You mean when you view your own items? I’ve noticed that Google analytics seems to indicate that I get a lot of spam too, particularly from russia, but quite a few visits are people who have clicked over from my blog, which is nice.
That’s right. Our own views are included. I’m lucky to get one a day. I try not to check so I can get a more accurate figure.
Me too
I’m so quiet this year…I normally get a few Sales in January but I haven’t had any so far, in fact my last sale was 7th December so December wasn’t as good as normal either…
I have started making a few new things, and have others planned, but without sales I am lacking motivation to get going!
My Folksy bill so far well into January is less than 1/3rd of last year total for the month so need some Big figures to get anywhere near. I know I was wasn’t making for the first 2 weeks but my shop was still stocked. Very quiet. Doing a better trade selling my scrap on eBay at the moment.
I’ve had one sale this year, which was through promoting outside of folksy, when i opened my shop, i did hope that i’d get some passing customers as well. I really hope it picks up soon.I’m also selling bits on ebay and other sites too, but i’d be very very happy if i could make my folksy shop viable.
No sales, but my views are unaccountably high in comparision to last year. I think it may be that now I have a Plus account I’m regularly relisting a few things every day to keep them to the front of searches.
Quieter than normal for January for me too, hoping it gets colder so people will want more woollies before it gets too warm to wear them
I know what you mean Kim, I have loads of new jewellery supplies (can’t stop buying gemstones and beads) but have no motivation to make anything new when I have no sales. Even E… sales have slowed down too.
I’m the same. Need to get some sales ! Very lacking in motivation to make new items when the others aren’t selling
I had no sales for ages and felt totally deflated to be honest so stepped away for a few days with regards to making anything. lo and behold, this morning, only two views to my shop and two sales! Baffling really
I keep trying to tell myself that (if people are like me) that someone might look at twenty or more shops before they see something that suits their taste.
There’s probably thousands out there that if they knew about us all would be buying…it’s just hoping they see us
Its nearly payday for those that get their wages monthly so let get our fingers crossed that they all come to us
Just an update from when I first started this thread. From only having one sale at the beginning of January I have now sold another 5 items in the past two days, so perhaps people have been waiting to get paid. On the other hand in my E…shop which has been quite buoyant recently only one sale on January 1st and nothing since.
This cant come soon enough. 1 view yesterday.
Having a spring clean on my Folksy shop from next week so hopefully that will improve my chances of success.
As it stands for January (still time…) Folksy 0. Etsy 3. Commissions 2.
That’s great! I hope your sales keep up. I still haven’t had any sales this month. I’ve had a few views and hearts but no sales. I’m finding it really difficult to get motivated to make new stock, though I know I should to keep my shop fresh.
Your shops lovely Bekki, I’m sure you will get more sales soon. I know what you mean about making new stock, I am the same trying to get motivated to make new items when not selling much.
Thanks Dawn, It’s nice of you to say. Will keep working and hoping someone likes the same things I do.
Well, after a very jaded January (my quietest ever) here’s hoping for a fantastic February for us all!
Fingers crossed!

After starting off January very slowly on Folksy I did manage a few orders, so happy. Over on the other site E… I had 1 sale on the 1st January and then nothing until I woke this morning to a sale of 9 items to the same customer in the United States so very happy.
That’s brilliant Dawn, what a lovely thing to wake up to!
xx
Thank you Natalie, I sell the same items in both shops so had to quickly hide them from sale in Folksy shop.
