I’ve just emailed someone local who’s running a craft group to see if she’s interested and I’m waiting for her reply.
Pauline already has insurance and most of us have. Certainly we all need it if we do any fairs or markets as it’s always a requirement of booking. So no worries about septic bums or otherwise.
PS As part of the risk assessment Pauline you could do a survey to see how many people have ever sat on a pin
I have done lots of demos at Young Wives clubs, WI and Townswomen’s guilds…I just wrote to the secretary of each group…might be a better idea.
I cannot believe how life has changed over the years…I went out and about giving lessons, doing demos and never once worried about my safety…and of course insurance was not necessary then…what a sad view of how times have changed.
I just had to laugh at that last bit @JOYSofGLASS.
You’ve made me chuckle Joy, cant stop thinking about the violent budgie.
Brilliant idea. I say go for it. I agree with others, you do need insurance.
My advise is don’t undersell you skills though otherwise people might undervalue what you do.
Good Luck
I’m still really toying with the idea because I may have found someone that’s interested in me doing workshops for her. I’m going to see what happens and if that doesn’t materialize then I will decide then.
