Impatient because over-excited... how long does Plus take to activate?

Hi all, two questions about Plus accounts. First off: I guess I’m just impatient because I’m over-excited, I know it hasn’t even been a week yet, but… I signed up for a Plus account last Thursday and although my bank is showing that a direct debit has been set up, that is the only sign I have so far that I didn’t dream the whole thing! Can anyone tell me how long it takes for the Plus account to become active and whether I’ll get a notification or a dashboard message (even a ‘thanks for clicking the button, your payment is pending and it’ll take two weeks before anything happens’ message would be good, I’m still seeing a forbidding big red button saying ‘Not a member’ whenever I check)?
Also I can’t find anything to tell me when the ‘point of upgrade’ actually is - I know listings fees are only pennies but they add up - presumably the ‘point of upgrade’ is when Folksy takes the first payment and something changes on my dashboard, not the point at which I decided to upgrade?
Any info from more experienced members would be very much appreciated, I want to crack on with Phase Two of my plan to conquer the Folksy Universe armed only with a bunch of old spoons!

It is such a long time since I upgraded that I don’t know the answer. However if you need to know why not email admin at support@folksy.co.uk ( might be .com ) They are very helpful and might help to speed things up a bit x

You say the direct debit is set up but has the first payment actually been taken? You might need to wait until the first payment is taken (which since it is monthly might not be until the first of the next month, not sure on that as I’m on an old version of the plus account). Drop support an email (support@folksy.com) and they will answer all your questions.

It doesn’t look like the set up process quite completed.
When you sign up to Plus the status will usually change from “not a member” to “processing”. It can show processing for a little time (maybe sometimes up to an hour, but I definitely wouldn’t expect it to take longer than a day), and once it’s been successfully completed it’ll change to “active” and you’ll see the little green Plus symbol next to your name on your shop front. It’s at that point that you’ll have all the Plus features.
If it goes back to saying “not a member”, contact support so we can check to see if something has gone wrong and if you need to try setting up again.

Please send us an email to let us know if a payment has been taken from your account or not, and let us know if anything didn’t seem to work properly while you were setting it up so we can try to figure out what went wrong.

I’m sure when I upgrade to Plus, I am able to list straight away for free. It says so when I get to the point of listing that I’m not going to be charged.

Thanks Kim, I’ll send an email to Support. I must admit I was expecting to see some sort of change to my dashboard but if there was a glitch with the setup then that explains why I’m still seeing ‘Not a member’!

Support are brilliant, there was an unidentified technical issue that was preventing the upgrade from happening, but they’ve sorted it manually so I should be actually upgraded by next week
