Iron recommendations

Did I just purchase a bad iron or are they all useless? Russell H***s, cost me quite a lot but even on its hottest setting it’s not getting the creases out of 100% cotton  Any recommendations for a quality iron gratefully received :+1:

The best iron I have ever bought and I have had a few was a John Lewis iron, still using it. have had some expensive ones but none were as good as this one and it’s really cheap in comparison, i’ve had mine a few years but doubt they will have changed much,
I have a miniature iron for dolls clothes etc and it’s brilliant but not tried a full sized one, it’s a Duronic.

My Kenwood is about 20 years old, bits have fell off it and it’s still going…

They just don’t seem to make things well these days but then we live in a throwaway world these days… expecting my iron to press cotton is expecting too much I suppose :joy:

Got a Breville iron waiting to be thrown out as well. The Kenwood is older

I’ve got a 20 yr old Morphy Richard’s that’s ok, I think like most things these days, they don’t make them like they used to.
