Im having a BOGOF sale on my mounted prints so I was thinking about adding search words and thought adding BOGOF to the title would be a good thing.
I just made my own search and only 3 items came up in the whole of Folksy with BOGOF in it. 2 of the items were mine!!
Is BOGOF a faux pas? Should I remove it?
It makes me think more of double glazing adverts and cheap supermarkets than desirable handmade crafts if I’m honest! lol
It says cheap to me and I really don’t like acronyms myself and the BOGOF to me isn’t the nicest of things to say. I prefer Buy One Get On Free it sounds so much nicer.
I don’t think it’s appropriate somehow when it comes to art/handmade; so many people struggle to charge properly for their work and running discounts and sales just takes us back to the bargain basement, handmade=homemade=cheap feeling.
