Hello everyone…!!!

I’m new here and just opened my little shop on Folksy {PassionPaletteHouse}, where I create and sell handmade resin and hand-painted items like coasters, boxes, and candles — each piece made with love and lots of detail!

I’m really excited (and a bit nervous!) to be part of this lovely community. I’d love to hear from experienced sellers — how has your journey on Folksy been so far? Any tips for getting seen, making that first sale, or just connecting with buyers here?

Looking forward to learning, sharing, and growing alongside you all.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, welcome to Folksy and the Forum @PassionPaletteHouse

Not sure if you realise, this is a showcase thread for a specific challenge, where we all agree to list something everyday for the whole month, and to heart and favourite everyone else’s shared items on Folksy. It can take a bit of time and commitment, but is a great way to link with other sellers, and hopefully get seen on the Folksy home page. Have a look at the top post in the thread to find out how it works. I can see you just have 2 items in your shop so far, but if you have more ready so you can list 1 a day, we’d love to have you join in.

If the Monthly Challenge is not for you (yet), there are other threads in the Forum where you can introduce yourself, and also showcase idividual items. It can be a bit confusing as there are so many threads, but here are some links to start you off:

Look foward to seeing your lovely makes on the different forum threads

Morning everyone will be back to list later, I am having problems across the site with a ’ 400 bad request message ’ .
It happens when I click on anything or try and look for searched items. Just reported it to folksy as it’s driving me mad. Anyone else got this happening?

Donna, these “bad request” message errors pop up now and again - there are a few posts in the forum. A good thing to try is to clear your cookies. Apparently It may be worse on Chrome browser, so try a different one if that’s what you use.

400 bad request - this thread has a response from Kim at Folksy support

Morning everyone

Got the dentist at 11.30, it’s only a check-up but feeling so nervous! I have to go on my own too which is making it worse. I don’t have the car today either, so I will either have to walk (45 minutes) or get a taxi. Decisions, decisions!

My listing today is:

Donna… @underneaththeeaves I am getting the 400 message every day…I found that if I log out and log back in again, then it is OK but it cannot just be me, so I have messaged admin…
I have cleared my history and that hasn’t made any difference, so it must be a folksy blip…watch this space.

Sharon @TheOldButton …I am getting the error 400 message every day now…for nearly 2 weeks…drives me crazy as well and clearing the cache hasn’t work. I am NOT going to change my browser…that would be too complicated for my little old brain, so I will wait and see what happens.x

Brenda @teabreaks I am not changing mine either, just cleared everything for now and hopefully works for now. I have reported it too.
Spoke to my other half as he is very good with this sort of thing and he said it looks like it could be a problem with the folksy server.

Great - welcome aboard @PassionPaletteHouse. Can I suggest you start by reading the first post in this thread which explains what you need to do in detail (shout anytime if anything is unclear).

You don’t need to go back and like every item already posted from the beginning of the month (unless you want to ) but as you shared one yesterday you could start there.

It’s important that you open the link to each item and click on the heart just under the price - turning it from white to red. You need to like everyone else’s item, and we will all like yours. This is also called favouriting an item, and if enough likes/favourites happen the item gets a brief show on the Popular Now feature on the home page - ir’s quite close to the bottom if you haven’t found it.

For info, you can also heart the post on this thread if that helps you track which you have seen or to show your support for the post, but it doesn’t count for the Folksy “Likes”.

thank you Donna.. @underneaththeeaves .I looked on the link that Sharon gave but it was all too complicated for me…I hope that Doug @admin can help because I have a fear of clicking on things and deleting what I WANT…If I disappear then you will all have to come and find me…lol…x

Morning all.
I’m doing a stint in the local makers shop today. It’s due to be a dry day, so I’m hoping there will be shoppers to keep me busy.
A couple of dip-pot covers from me today.
