Thanks all for your good wishes for my OH. We’ve had a lovely day. The film was great - certainly worth seeing. I’ve read the book and the film was very well done and true to the book.
OS is a Mac operating system I used to get these messages when had an old Mac, just that Folksy will still work but not supported.
My last iMac was 2011 so did well but unable to upgrade after about 2019. Mac would no longer support it and then you get the messages from
Folksy.
The one I get annoyed about is Google asking me to change to chrome, no way and after the warnings about chrome from Apple they can keep it.
Morning all
Congratulations on sales and hugs for poorly peoples.
We are finally going to the dump this morning, the printer and old iMac will be no more. Country Market for a browse then back for coffee. Have to clean downstairs before we go.
A relist from me.
Morning,
Got workmen in today - fitting some cupboards and also doing some drainage and forming a bit more parking space by the driveway. I’ll be manning the kettle. Also need to get cushions sorted out for craft fair at the weekend, my first this year. I feel quite out of practice, funny how you lose your confidence when you have a break for a while.
Nice to see so many new and returning people
Good to hear the brilliant news about your brother and hope you continue to impove from your op Jen @JenStarKnits
Good luck for the shop space @Little1Leather
Enjoy your holiday Shirley @pirateswag
Good morning everyone. I’m really excited about joining this group and looking at all your amazing work every day. So much talent. X
Hi Stephanie @ceciliamary. You might want to add the tag charity donation to your listing - that way it gets shown in the charity section on Folksy - it’s a permanent collection linked from the home page. You’ll need to give clear info about the actual donation in the listing to take part.

Morning everyone
Such good news about your brother Jen @JenStarKnits and also that your on the mend.
@Little1Leather that sounds exciting
We went to Nottingham yesterday to see my daughter and her future husband, (the 1st time since she moved in there) I’m glad we don’t live in a city! The roads… she does live in a nice area even if their rented house is one of the smaller ones. And we went for a lovely walk around a large pond. She lives close to Wollaton hall, but we’ll save that for another day.
Tonight we’re going to see The Saltpath, I really enjoyed the book. I was gifted the book, the 2nd one I bought and the 3rd Landlines my daughter has just lent me.
I don’t think think you have anything to worry about just yet Brenda @teabreaks .OS stands for operating is system and in simple turns it is the program that a computer uses to transform your inputs into actions. There are a few different one. Most apple Computers use iOS and non apple computers use Microsoft windows mainly or Linux. Microsoft and Apple stop providing support for older versions of their operating systems as they release newer ones. In the case of Microsoft windows these newer operating systems are sometimes available to download for free providing your hardware (the actual parts that makes up your pc or laptop support it.) I’m pretty sure that having an older operating system on your pc will not stop you bring able to use the forums. What could cause you to stop being able to use the forums is having an outdated browser. In simple terms a browser is something that your pc uses to translate the internet into something your computer can understand. There are many different browsers some come built into the operating system or others can be obtained separately for free. I personally use a free one called Brave. I like it because it gives me to option to block those pesky pop ups that appear some times. If you don’t have the red banner that Jen @JenStarKnits had then I think you should be good to keep using the forums.
Morning all.
I hope you enjoy the film @SueTrevor . I need to look up the other books.
As it’s holiday season, a packing bag from me - prettier than a Sainsbury’s carrier bag!
Morning everyone.
So good to hear your great news about your brother Jen @JenStarKnits , glad your shoulder is improving.
Have a lovely break Shirley @pirateswag
We’re planning to put up a new polytunnel at the allotment today, fingers crossed the instructions are straightforward!
I have a birthday card today.
Great news about your brother Jen @JenStarKnits and I’m glad that your shoulder is improving.
Welcome to the thread @ceciliamary and any other new joiners and also welcome back returning peeps.
I’m sharing a worry owl today.
Good morning
I’ve had a good start to my return to Folksy as last nights sale was my second since coming back 3 weeks ago. I’m hoping this is the start of good times here.
Todays listing:
Good morning.
Spent the day cleaning and tidying yesterday - think I know that my mojo is waning when I choose cleaning over crafting!! Still got a few listings that I haven’t shared yet so can continue on thread and hopefully I’ll get making again before I run out!
Todays listing
Morning all.
I’m out for a fair bit of this morning (shopping, and allotment while the weather is fair) but I’ll pick up any tags for sales when I get back. We had a good start yesterday with 8 sales in total . Fingers crossed for us all.
Today it’s a little embroidered picture from the Sews shop
Emma, @QuirkyOwlStudio …thank you for that…I have already had a message from Microsoft saying that from October, they will no longer support Windows 10, so I might be in trouble later in the year. There is no way, I would even know how to upgrade anything or even afford windows 11 ( I wouldn’t even know how to download it or use it)
I wouldn’t know where to start. I used to have a friend who did everything for me but is no longer around. I recently had to pay someone to come and help link up my laptop to my printer…I would probably end up paying more than i earned and will it all be worthwhile.
Even obtaining something i wouldn’t have a clue how to download it…sigh
I find it all quite horrific that us oldies are getting swept under the carpet…"Keep up or be gone "!
I might have to buy a rocking chair and sit staring at the wall…lol.
