Wow Brenda I’m honoured that you’ve accepted commissions from me then! I love what you’ve done with Simon’s wedding invite, they’re very lucky to have you design it for them.
I do accept commissions and am very happy when I get them. I really enjoy the challenge. I’ve got a church on the go at the moment that is a secret wedding gift so I can’t show you, but it really is a challenge - the perspective is all wrong on the photo so I’m having to employ all my vanishing line knowledge… it’s making my head hurt lol. Then I have a mini magazine article to write, and a pet portrait example for a charity raffle, all before mid July. Eeek.
Love your girlies Lowri and everything else in the thread since I was last here. Been so busy since my offspring got home from uni!
Brenda, that one was always a favourite with me and I think the wedding invitation should go down well,Iwould be well pleased with it.
Commissions,I got two wedding rings and an engagement ring-pure stress, part of what I do is supposed to relieve stress not cause it.
Lowri,Like your work, like your style. The singing voice, well you just described me.
Stephanie,Thanks for the comment, not a proper painting at all but I looked at next door and thought “napalm” and then thought but what about the little things.
Lowri…I have forgotten,…where in Wales are you?
I am in the South…between Port Talbot and Swansea…I used to sell a lot of Welsh lady cartoons when I did craft fairs…
Your singing Welsh lady reminds me of a picture I had taken of me when I was little…I did NOT want to dress up for the photo…lol…
Merched just makes me think of the public toilets…haha.
Stephie…good luck with that…you KNOW I don’t do anything with straight lines…lol…
James, you are a brave man taking on commissions…
Thank you James, Steph and Brenda
Nice to see you back Steph’, I bet you’re enjoying having your baby home! Good luck with your commission!
Brenda, I’m in North Wales, near Bangor.
I love seeing photos of kids dressed as Welsh ladies. I have one of me, and a really old photo of someone from my family. I don’t know who they are, it’s a very old photo.
I may as well share, I know they’re not ‘art’ but they’ve inspired my Welsh ladies.
