Hi my name is Sue, I joined Folksy yesterday, I’m setting up my shop and wanting to meet other people who have a shop, I’m looking for any advice and help, I’m in my 60’s retired and trying to learn and find my way round Folksy, I am a little unsure how to go about something’s such as, wondering where this email will turn up hahaha. I have a great sense of humour and love having a laff
I’m open to any advice and help or even Just a chat
all the best to everyone and hope you will all do well with your shops, I am going to have a look around and see what’s out there and get to know some of you.
Hello Sue and Patrick and a big welcome! We’re a very friendly bunch here so if you have any questions at all just ask away, someone is bound to have the answer
Hi Sue and welcome! I love your shop! My favourite item is your poppy painting, I collect poppies (amongst other things). As you’re an artist why not join us on the Art Chat Thread which we have each month, we chat about all kinds of arty (and non arty) things.
I don’t have a shop here I’m a collector and have bought hundreds of things on Folksy over the last four years, though I’m trying not buy much these days
Hi Patrick, nice cushions, you need to get more stock in that shop though to attract customers, good luck.
Hello and welcome, your shop is lovely, I particularly like the flower paintings. I just started on Craftjuice today, it’s a site where you can promote craft items, and there is a Craftjuice thread here where we vote for each other. So when you’ve found your feet on Folksy it would be worth taking a look at that.
thanks Sue, i need to build up a bit of stock at the moment with the screens i’ve got. Then i can make some new designs which is the really fun part of the process. Have fun being creative yourself
I am in my 60’s too and retired. I set up my shop just over a year ago and I have found it great fun, everyone here is so friendly and helpful. You have a lovely shop with lovely items - particularly like your paintings.
Hi everyone you are all so encouraging, it’s lovely to meet you Dawn and Stephanie, I will visit your shops in a mo, then get my evening meal ready, so I’ll say tat tarr for now, be back soon
Hi Sue (& Patrick), welcome to Folksy. You’ve already found the best place to come to if you need any help with anything Folksy related. I wish you lots of luck and hope you have fun too!
Hi Sue and Patrick, welcome to Folksy and the forums. This is the best place to come for a chat, ideas, and help, there is always someone who knows the answer to any questions you have.
Good luck to you both.
Lynn x
