Monthly Art Chat : October Come on in all welcome

I’ve left you a comment Hazel, your stall really does look great like that!

Hi Lowri, I like the flowers in your picture’s hair, very pretty.

The journey to work was very autumnal with driving rain and lots of wet leaves flying around. I’m quite happy to spend today at my nice warm dry desk

I did a lot more of my poppy tapestry and my cat cross stitch yesterday, I really must get round to showing you all how they are coming along.

Thanks Margaret I have replied … Look forward to seeing your tapestry I love seeing Work in progress

Just managed to do a listing at last…admin said it was fixed, so I gave it a go…Eureka !!
Lowri…let us know if it is on S4C…so that I can watch it…what is the programme called?
Here it the one I just listed…
.

Thanks for the welcome folks

Today i’m putting the final colour on my print Amelia’s Garden

Well done on achieving your listing Brenda.

Lovely print Matt,

Hurray! I’ve managed to list too!
Thank you, Max, for the help. I tried to change pixels etc, but in the end waited for Folksy to sort out the problem.
The stall looks great, Hazel, and well done on your sales there, too!
Pretty print, Matt, and amazing depth in the monochrome, Brenda!
Your art project S4C work sounds great, Lowri!
Waving, Margaret - looking forward to seeing the tapestry and cross stitch.
Here are my listed shells!!

evening everyone. Love the print Matt, I just dug out my Lino kit I have an idea for my Christmas cards this year :santa:

love the shells Pam, I love to collect shells we put them to decorate our plant pots in the caravan down in West Wales, except the Gulls keep turning them over to find food lol!

Fab monochrome landscape Brenda reminds me of etchings

Here’s my tapestry, or a least the bottom part of it, the top part with the sky is rolled round the roller:

This is as far as I’ve got with the cat, there are lots of pink flowers around it when it’s finished.

Wow! They are going to keep you busy, Margaret! The poppy one is amazing and the cat looks cute already!

Morning waving hi to everyone. The colours in those Poppies are fabulous Margaret, it’s going to be another stunner, not sure I could work on two at the same time I’d end up with a red cat probably lol!

lol Brenda!

Thanks Pam and Max

I don’t get them confused because the method of working is so different. The cat involves counting stitches but the tapestry is more about interpreting the colours printed onto the canvas. I love the variety of stitching

Morning All

Margaret your tapestry is amazing … how big is it in total ?

Love the shells Pam

Its raining here and all of sudden feels like winter is coming :frowning:

But I’m hoping to get into my studio this morning, I have lots of miniature ideas I want to try out and I need to paint some more Triptych style as I’m almost sold out …

Hope you all have a good day

Hazel

Hazel, I’d have to check at home but it’s fairly big. I need to get this finished before I can start the really big birds of paradise cross stitch I bought, as only this frame is big enough to use to do that one.

Morning gang, it’s a wet and dreary day in West Lancashire today - booo!

Everything went well at the weekend dropping Andy off at Cambridge, we met his college mum who is lovely (they are assigned a mum and dad from the year above who are there to look after and help him settle in, and a college brother from the same year on a different course) and he’s been out every night so far. I believe they party hard at the beginning and end of term, and work their socks off the rest of the time. It’ll be no time at all before we’re back to pick him up - just 8 weeks.

Lovely work from everyone, I especially love Pam’s polymer poppy, Max’s cheerful robin and that poppy tapestry is gorgeous.

This is the only painting I have done in the last few days, it’s for my aunt for her birthday tomorrow

Hi everyone, lovely to see all your beautiful work. Its been a while I know!
Those tapestries are great Margaret, particularly love the poppies and look forward to seeing the cat finished.

I’ve decided to list my hand painted jewellery on Folksy. It gets lost on the other side and think it may be good to separate it. Worth an experiment anyway! Just listed a few now, more to come.

Afternoon all…nice day here…it got a bit cloudy an hour ago but nothing came of it and now we are back to blue skies.
Hope to get some painting done later…
Great work everyone love them all

That’s a beautiful flower Stephie.

Good luck with your lovely handpainted jewellery Annabel

waving Brenda
