It’s looking great! I’m glad you said how small it is as I was picturing it quite a bit bigger. Such a lot of detail captured.

Thank you @catherineoneill @MaxPringJewellery @DeborahJonesJewellery  I’m trying stitch it without slipping into thread painting while paying attention to the contours of the fur. I still want to see the fabric underneath

He’s starting to emerge. You must have really nimble fingers to create such delicate stitches. I didn’t realise how small you were working.

Brilliant, you’ve all been so busy!

Love your lamps Mick @SteampunkCreativeEngineering - the garden spray ones are so cool!

Your badger design is really coming along Bekki @bekokodesigns - it’s so small! I don’t know how you can stitch such small detailing, it’s brilliant!

I’ve never heard of using a tetra pak for mono printing before Catherine @catherineoneill - I just threw one away, may have to go and fish it out and clean it to give it a go!
Did you use a biro to draw your design?
It’s really clever that you included the folds of the tetra pak into your sampler design. It’s a really uplifting design!

@dotterypottery You will have to have a go. I used a sharp pointy tool that I use for dry point etching. You could used a bradawl.

How is everyone getting on? I’m afraid that I have failed miserably this month!

(My Mum has been steadily declining, so I am having to deal with a lot of different agencies, doctors, nurses etc and also I care for her 2 days a week, so that is taking up a lot of my time) My own pottery business is also feeling the hit too!

I will continue to cheerlead you all though and do my best to create something next month!

ETA - if you have any ideas for the theme for next Month - pop them in the thread and I will start a poll.

I’m sorry to hear about your mum Sarah, sending hugs to you. As for theme probably too predictable but how about spring. I’m so ready for signs of spring it’s been nothing but rain here for months!

Sorry to hear about your mum @dotterypottery .

Spring sounds like a good idea to me. @MaxPringJewellery We had a burst of sunshine on Wednesday and all the little mini daffodils started to open.

Sorry to hear about your Mum Sarah and the effect its having on you and your business.

I feel really guilty to have failed the challenge especially as Heart & Home was my suggestion.

Spring sounds wonderful Max @MaxPringJewellery im feeling a little run down at the moment and thoughts of being able to get out in the garden is just what I need.

I haven’t done anything with my little house, but have cast a heart too.
Spring works for me for March too.

Thanks everyone - honestly, even though she was diagnosed with mixed dementia four years ago her decline has been very gradual. She also suffers from debilitating depression where she has been catatonic from it in the past. This sudden total decline has been baffling for the doctors as they do not think the dementia would have progressed this quickly but mixed with her latest depressive episode, no-one is sure exactly what’s going on (all underlying infections now ruled out)
It’s been a bit of a shock realising that this time she may not “bounce back” or recover and her decline has been very rapid. I feel like even though I have had a lot of time with her, I didn’t really make it quality time and now it’s probably too late! I feel a lot of guilt combined with grief but also (selfishly) the realisation that the last person in the world that I knew that I could really rely on is not available any more.
(Sorry this is a bit heavy - you don’t need to respond to this! xx)

Anyway, lighter note - looks like we are all agreed on the theme of “Spring” for next months Maker challenge.
I think I can really embrace this one - I may go with Spring flowers for my own project!

There is never anyone quite like one’s Mum. Mums are always special people, and we can never imagine they wont always be there. It is always so hard when they arent, even though we know that time will come. I hope you soon feel more at peace even though you are having to watch this horrible scenario unfold, knowing you love your Mum and she loves you.
