Hello there
I’m new to this ,though had a Folksy shop a few years ago ,but had no sales at all .
This time ,I’m doing something totally different. Have always had a passion for art ,but haven’t had any formal training since 6th form at school . Any advice would be very welcome, and would love you to take a look at my shop.I’ve lots more to add , and lots of ideas for further items
Welcome back to Folksy. Since you were last here the search algorithm has undergone a bit of a revamp and titles are now very important for getting found in the search. At the moment titles like ‘modern blues’ or ‘wild meadow’ aren’t very algorithm friendly - there is no mention of what the item is and people are unlikely to use those titles as search phrases. A better title would be something like ‘floral watercolour painting - modern blue flowers’ then it would be found for searches like floral painting, watercolour painting, flower painting, modern watercolour. Tags also need to be relevant phrases that some one might search for, so for that example you would have tags like watercolour painting, floral painting, colourful watercolour painting, original painting.
In several listing you have photos of different colour options but don’t make it clear in the listing what the options are, that the listing is for only one of the colours and that the buyer needs to specify which colour they want at check out - you might want to add variations so that they can select via a drop down menu. (I’m assuming that it is only one painting based on the price point and the number available, maybe they are being sold as sets and you have multiple sets. It’s really not clear from the listing.)
There is lots of info on the folksy blog
