Good evening all! Would anybody be so kind as to take a peek at my shop? I’ve had a few views but no real interest. Any tips or constructive criticism would be very much appreciated! Thanks so much!
You might want to put the word Heart also in the items title.
maybe a photo of the back of the items so potential customers can see how well put to together the item is.
Have you been doing any promoting on different social media platforms?
Have you joined in any of the threads in the Showcase part of the forum where we promote each other items both on the form and on social media sites.
Some social media sight you can use to promote are
Facebook
twitter
googleplus
craftjuice
instragram if you have an android mobile phone.
Do you have business cards with your folksy shop URL that you can hand out so they can find yours shop?
It takes a lot of work I’m afraid.
Thank you for your reply!
I will definitely add some photos to show the back of my items and add Heart to the titles. I have an Instagram account and a Facebook page linked to my shop.
I will have a look at the forums you mentioned too. It’s a mine field so your advice is appreciated. I am prepared to put in the hard work!
Thanks again
I’ve favourited some of your items, which should put them on the front page for a bit. The daisy headband is really cute and I love it!
Nothing much to add to Eileens advice except that listing regularly is very helpful to get more traffic to your shop. I really need to take my own advice on this one

Very pretty items - I’ve favourited a couple. It can take quite a while to get noticed and start making sales. Promotion is key. Promote, promote… and then promote some more.
Thanks very much, appreciate your reply! Good job I love making things, don’t mos putting in the time! X
Thank you Sam! Means a lot. I guess hard work and patience is key but I’m determined so fongfwts crossed!
Thanks again xx
Your shop items are very beautiful - I love your floral wreaths. I am fairly new to Folksy too so all a new learning curve for me as well. Good luck,
Thank you and good luck to you too! I’m sure we’ll get there!
fabulous shop Amy and welcome to Folksy…everyone here is really nice and there is always someone to help if you need it…
As others have said…join in the chat on the forums to get your name seen…
I have faved your shop as well x
A couple of tips I’ve picked up over the years. Write your description as if describing the item to a blind person - google search bots can’t see the images so don’t rely on the visual info that they contain - remember to include colours, textures and possible uses in the description. Secondly rope your friends into helping you with tags - show them an item and then get them to search folksy for it making a note of what phrases they use, you can then use those phrases as your tags to help improve your ranking in other people’s searches.
(the blog also has lots of useful info http://blog.folksy.com/)

Thank you very much, I’ll keep doing my best! Now off to take a peek at your shop…
Kind regards
Amy
I think your shop looks great. I love your logo and tagline. I think you need a banner more personal to you, no rush though, the one you have looks fine.
I’ve favourited a couple of items plus the shop…alas I don’t have any little 'uns but think your shop quite delightful and may very well be tempted to purchase a wreath at some point, and nearer the time maybe think of Christmas wreaths.
Good luck
Best wishes
Thank you very much! I’ll be sure to change my banner as soon as I can - thanks for the advice. X
