Newbie shop

Hello, I have just found this forum, and noticed someone else not getting sales as yet. Two things… 1, I was really emboldened to see so many ‘new shops’ on the list in the newbies section… I was on page 4 and I thought I was VERY new… so that bodes well with getting known and there being interest in Folksy… so 2. where can I find historic stats… how many views for last day or week etc… my stats remain 2 and 3 every day and I can’t tell if that’s a new day or the same record… I’ve been here for nearly a week.
Finally, will I only start getting found when I promote myself across social media…eeeeek!! can anyone help with other ways!! Looks nice so far though. Ruth

Welcome to the forum Ruth

Since stats are for the previous 7 days so yours might not be properly up and running if you haven’t been open that long. You can access the stats from your dashboard (top left hand corner).
Social media promotion is the key - you don’t have to get to grips with them all at once so pick one and once you’re happy with that add on the next one. (pinterest is always a good one to start with as it helps with building up back links for google indexing)

Thanks Caroline

Good luck with your shop. Its looking good. I have been here just for a year. Social Media is definitely the way to go. Keeping track on theme of the day words and picking suitable ones for your products and putting them in your tags.

The forum is very useful and helpful with hints and tips.

Hello Ruth, welcome to Folksy, I hope you love it here and do well with your pretty accessories.

I would advise you to fill in the ‘About me’ section on your shop and then get some social media links on there.

Folksy sellers are very supportive of each other. The forums are a great place to start, there’s always someone around who can help. We support each other on social media too, especially on Fridays (Folksy Fridays) and there are Fb groups you can join which will give keep you up to date with what’s going on or help promote your shop. Good luck

Good luck with your shop, your photographs look great by the way! Social media is important and for me personally has been a huge learning curve. Take your time and enjoy being on Folksy and hopefully sales will be just around the corner.
