Oldest Shop on Folksy

I was wondering this morning which shop had been on Folksy the longest. I’m now into my 12th year and joined in May 2009. I know Joy Salt has been on Folksy a month longer than me but I wonder which shops have been with Folksy longer than that. Also I was wondering which shop was the first ever to register with Folksy - they may not still be around but it would be interesting to know what that first ever shop was selling.

Difficult to know exactly, as I don’t think there is a date showing when shops joined Folksy (as there is on the dark side), but if you go to the New Sellers on the front page, click ‘see more’ and then go to the last page, you have the shops who have been here longest and are still trading.
I’ve been on Folksy since June 2010 and I’m on page 201 of 211 .

Oh I hadn’t thought of that - I’ll have a look :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m on page 202 so the shops on there must just be the shops that are still active and a lot must have left because there’s not many shops between you and me but it’s a whole year apart.

I’ve been here since July 23rd 2008 - but I definitely wasn’t the first shop though!
It’s amazing how many sellers have come and gone (and come back again!) during that time.

I was only looking at this last night! I can’t remember the name of the oldest shop, but I remember @thedotterypotter being there very high on the list. I’m on page 200. Oh yes, I remember now, it’s because I’ve just turned 1800 sales, however, I’ve not been continually active! My 1st sale was November 2011.

Same here Sue…I opened my shop in 2008, I think I had a couple of sales then but I kind of let it go to pasture until I started properly promoting it in 2010 I think!

This was the first item I sold in 2008 - gosh the leaves look rather phallic!

I’m with my second shop on folksy as I wanted to change my name and I done that when they bought in the plus account as that seemed a good time to start anew. I’ve opened my first shop on 11/7/12. I have dipped in and out over the past few years though when sales started to stop.

I am on page 141 at the moment, so a newbie compared to some of you. I joined April 2017 I think.

Haven’t felt so young in years! I’m on page 158. Lovely to see shops still thriving, who were there helping me cut my teeth here on folksy, so many years ago. Must go back and look though my ‘favourite’ shops, see what I can earmark ready for Christmas :face_with_hand_over_mouth:not sure we can use the c word just yet! xx

This is interesting, I have been here about 10 years and I am on page 202 of 211, so probably quite an “old” shop. When looking for my shop some of the names were very familiar, and obviously some favourites, but some I had not seen before, despite them ( and me) being around a long time, so some shops to go back and have a look at.
