Ooops! Embarrassing mistake!

Oh no! Silly me. I’ve just listed a little pendant I made a while ago but haven’t yet photographed. My plan was to do the listing now (so tedious) and put a photo of anything temporarily, just because you can’t do a listing without a picture. I chose a random picture of 2 life size reindeers I took in a local shop yesterday then immediately hid the listing for the time being. I’m going to do my photos at the weekend and just add them to the listing then simply unhide it. Then - I had a horrible thought! And, sure enough, there is my new pendant, complete with its very strange reindeer picture ON THE NEWEST ITEMS LISTED FEATURE!!! NOOO!

Not sure! Just a bit worried that Folksy might be annoyed with me. It doesn’t present a very professional image does it?! I’m an an idiot - I should have just saved it as a draft. Ah well, could have been worse! It could have been a picture of my friend and me sitting in a Cinderella carriage at the same place.
I’ve emailed he Powers That Be as well, just to explain and apologise!

It won’t be a problem. The new section is fairly fast moving so I’m sure it won’t have been there for long.

Sorry but it made me giggle too, I wouldn’t worry too much. We are only human after all.
But here’s a question for you, how do you save a draft please? I’ve not figured that out and always end up listing something half finished and then hiding it until I’ve time to finish it off.

When you create your listing, go as far as the ‘Preview Listing’ page. At that point, towards the top,you have a choice of ‘list item’ or ‘make changes’ (something like that , might not be exactly those words), but if you want to save to draft, don’t do either of these. Instead, navigate away from the page, and the listing will find it’s way into draft.

Ah thank you, that makes sense, I always wondered what would happen if I just moved on to a new page and was worried I’d lose everything. Thanks so much

  @DeborahLucasJewellery …you are not alone, I have made the same mistake but with my own photos of wip pics. I often make the draft listing if it is too late to take photographs and just use any random pic like you did…no life size reindeers though.

The other day I was creating a new listing from an existing one, deleted the photos, added new ones but didn’t save to drafts and somehow managed to change all the photos of a listing that was already in my shop…sometimes it is far easier to start from fresh with a new listing
