Payment method

Hi folks, after a break from folksy we have just opened our shop again. What’s your experience with payments PayPal or stripe?
Honestly I can’t remember what we used to do

I love stripe - I do my invoices for commissions with them as well ask payments on folksy. Fees are lower than PayPal, exchange rate is better for overseas buyers than the one that PayPal gives.
Down sides - you will need to provide them with a copy of photo id (passport or driver’s license) and they will hold your money for 7 business days (that does reduce down after a while)

Hi there and welcome back to Folksy. I use both PayPal and Stripe and haven’t had any issues with either of them, it gives customers the option so I personally think it’s better. But I think if you choose to only have PayPal buyers can still use this even if they don’t have an account but don’t quote me on that. Good luck with your shop.

Hello - lovely to see you back

I accept payments from Stripe and Paypal. - I get roughly equal payments on both also.

How wonderful to see you back here :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’m another one who uses both. I’d say I probably get equal sales with both.

Hello  and welcome back
I’ve both too but be found most of my customers use PayPal, I’d always offer both though, just make things as easy as possible for customers.
