My time has become quite limited recently, trying to fit in all the things that I need to do for work, home and caring responsibilities. I have become very guilt ridden working on my business when everything around me is in chaos.
So, after a few very stressful weeks, I have decided to give myself a permission note to put the clay (and my mental health) first today.
I have quite a few corporate clients who have me running in circles a lot of the time as the work is nearly always commissions. I’ve learned a lot including never, ever do the work before being paid up front first. That is my absolute rule after 8 weeks of solid work that I never got paid for a couple of years back. Luckily, the work I did they didn’t get, so I’ve been able to recoup the money, but not my time and effort. But I have a lot of sourcing they want me to do, and sometimes I have to rein that in and say no.
I’ve been finding it difficult finding time to create since moving over a year ago. Trying to renovate a house that needs lots of work even trying to find thinking time to create has been frustrating never mind time to post on social media but I’ll get there in the end.
So true Brenda, oh and my cards have been very favourable since I started the new year I also kept seeing property and new beginnings then my youngest announced he was going to look at his first property and the sale is ongoing, all totally out of the blue, we thought he would stay forever. My house will see big changes and I’ve been thinking of downsizing and moving out of the village to where my daughter and son will both be living. I listen to them more and more and now keep journals and have started writing some of the readings down to look back on later in the year. I lay all the different decks out and let them choose which I should read each day and send gratitude to the universe.
Back to the original question….I would give myself permission to take a day off … it only happens if I physically go out of the house but I would love to take some time out to do something for myself or just for fun.
If I had a permission note to myself it would give me some time out. The weekends are my time to work without guilt in my garden, but the weather has been so awful this weekend so I’m busy working with fabrics instead. So now, when it gets brighter next week I shall have to give myself permission to be out in my garden!
Debby @Bearlescent I have started a manifesting book…think of an item and ask the Universe for it…the first one I did ( and totally random) was to see Tony Blackburn…turned on my laptop and there was a picture of him…
I write my choice in a book and see how long it takes…
I have manifested loads of things…doesn’t need to be an actual item…a picture is fine…I even got a picture of Noddy…how random is that…try it…all good fun…and NO…I haven’t asked to win the lottery because I don’t DO it ha ha
@teabreaks Rhonda Byrne !! I’m a huge believer in ‘be carful what you wish for’ and that negativity breeds negativity and positivity more of the same. I havn’t kept a manifestation journal but as you probably guessed I’m now about to start it will be interesting to look back on. Some of my oracle cards have manifestations written next to the divinatory meaning, I’ve tried a few. It’s good getting back into it all again I still can’t resist buying more books and cards and I’m on the lookout for a nice crystal ball to add to my corner but it’s not something I could buy online so I’m waiting, one will find me soon.
Since the arrival of our gorgeous granddaughter two years ago, creating has had to be put on a very back burner ( it’s almost slipped down behind the cooker to the murky depths where the escaped peas lurk!) Nina has had, and continues to have, a lot of medical adventures and so doesn’t attend nursery even though her parents are back working. Consequently the wee family lands here for nearly half the week and it’s surprising how much of the other half is spent preparing for the next visit! I have to allow myself just to aim to keep my shop ticking over for the time being and am very grateful for loyalty from Folksy and my returning customers.
