Photo quality issues when uploading

Hi! I’ve spent the last three hours on trying to upload photos on my listing. I am desperate!
The problem is that when I upload them they lose their quality, and it looks really bad on my listing! I already resized the photos so I don’t know what to do. Here is an example:

this is the original

this is a screenshot on how appears on my listing

Please help!!!

Sorry, I am no photography expert but what exactly is wrong with them? They look good to me!

The original photo is clear and sharp, the one uploaded on folksy is grainy and you can’t read the label. I’ve tried everything but every time i upload a photo the quality is very bad

No technical advice from me, my listings have some of the worst photos to be found on Folksy, I’d love to have photos as clear as yours!

The only thing I can say is that I feel the background doesn’t fit with the item. Such a beautiful, soft, girly baby hat, but the background looks very grown up and rustic.

Good luck xxx

Thank you!! I appreciate your feedback! Actually this is the main photo anx the one above is a close up. What do you think?

I like the idea of the props, but I find them a bit distracting, that might just be me though, easily distracted! The photo I like best is the one with the group of five hats together, very nice.

@BebeAlexa is it your screen or monitor? It looks clear to me.

Have you tried resizing smaller and then sharpening? Folksy only display the images at 642 pixels wide and yours are much larger. When you resize a large image smaller it normally needs sharpening again to look as clear as it used to.

Hi again, I just looked at your new photos, I think they really show how lovely your hats are now. Really fab! Good luck with your shop.
