I’m not sure I’ve understood what you’re asking right but… You set the visibility of a pin when you create or save it (two different types of pins with different editing allowed). You can create ot save any pin as a ‘Secret’ pin that nobody else can see, unless you invite them to the board you’ve pinned it to (and now we’ve wandered into another area entirely - it can all feel very complicated on Pinterest!).

Yes, I think that’s the only way to do it. I have looked around in the past for a good set of tutorials but haven’t found anything that looked good and was free! I am aware of an American lady who offers a paid for Pinterest Class and I think that’s pretty good, but I haven’t had the funds to do it myself yet. Although it isn’t always that helpful! Pinterest do have the ‘Pinterest Academy’ but that’s really mostly about them selling you their Ad services:
I will say though that it is absolutely worth sticking with and working through the frustrations to understand it - it’s such a powerful search engine and a great way to get your makes discovered, if you can get the hang of it.
