Hi everyone,
I have found this morning’s discussion about Pinterest interesting as it is something I have never really used for my shop but I would love to be able to use it more.
Like others I feel it’s because I’m not really sure where to start.
I thought it might be nice for us all to share our tips, tricks and advice when using social media’s, particularly Pinterest when growing our shops.
As it is a grey area for me.
Looking forward to seeing how people use this tool, thanks again,
CerysBCrafty
I also need to look into how to use Pinterest, it’s on my list of things to learn. Im sure there was a post yesterday from someone all about it but I can’t find it now and don’t remember which thread it’s posted in.
@PaintedHorseArt - I posted a link yesterday to the Folksy clubhouse on fb where someone posted how to link your pinterest account to Instagram - i’ve linked mine up now, so thought I would share:
I’ve got a business account but must admit I’m not an authority on Pinterest at all - it’s something I’ve kind of gone with the flow with but not properly understood as a marketing tool. I’m going to read that Pinterest 101 thread now Thanks Hilary @kokoblue x
Thank you for your help it is appreciated. I’m going to go and do the same I was unaware there was already a thread, my mistake.
Thanks again @kokoblue for passing this on.
There’s lots of really useful info in the link Hilary @kokoblue posted above, including discussion about this in particular.
The best tip I’ve ever had about Pinterest is that you need to remind yourself that it isn’t really Social Media at all - it’s a search engine. When you think of it that way, you will automatically do a lot of things the right way for Pinterest to work well - spend time on your titles and descriptions just as you would on a Folksy listing to make sure your pin gets seen in search results
Morning everyone. So I have my own Folksy Shop. I am a member for Scotland Group and I see all the Folksy posts. However, I don’t get the option to ‘join’ The Folksy Clubhouse / Facebook. I do have a Pinterest Account and I do pin my Folksy shop there. What do I need to do now? Thanks ever so much. Katie
I think if you run a business a business account is a must allow a links etc and you can add prices where as personal is restrictive, plus looks more professional from a customers point of view.
Yes, I think you do A lot of people say that it’s best to have separate accounts on Pinterest if you’re very active there so that you can keep your personal and business pins separate. I don’t bother with that myself, converted my personal to business and just made sure my pins were organised into boards and made any boards I don’t want seen ‘Secret’.
