I am relatively new to Folksy and am yet to make a sale … Pinterest is my favourite place to browse . I follow it using my own name and have many many boards. I need to know how to use it to promote my shop. How to go about it please? Any tips?
I have just discovered that I can add a business account and link it to my Personal account!
Eureka! I think I might be on the right track! I might have cracked it
This is a handy feed on the forums……find & follow fellow Folksy folk etc
On the case! eureka!!!...All sorted! I have linked a Business account to my personal account on Pinterest … I just need to create some boards and start following and pinning !!!
I have just pinned my first item @WhimsicalBells ! Hope it worked
Hi Sandra @BeOdd
I finished a Pimp your Pinterest account course a few weeks ago and one of the key things I learnt is that you need to be consistent in pinning to it (like all social media). You also need to have an idea of what key words will bring your pins up in searches. I have two almost identical ideas pins on my board. One is ‘Handmade Japanese Fabric Tote Bags’ which has been viewed 1.4k times. The other is ‘Japanese Fabric Handbags’ which has been viewed 30 times! The idea pins seem to get more views that normal pins, when you get the key words right.
I also have a personal and business Pinterest account and only pin my products to my boards on my business account. I join in the forums but pin my Folksy Finds on my personal account.
Hope this helps a bit

Hi Liz … well all of that makes perfect sense!!! Putting Folksy Finds on your personal account is good too. I have been having a look at other people accounts to see which way they went about it. I linked a business account yesterday so it is all fresh and empty! So I can start as I mean to carry on! I was thinking of doing a Google search to see what words are trending at the moment as I am not happy with the way I have described my necklaces …. Thankyou so much for your advice I shall take that on board as it feels right! …. Sandra
